Because they added this stuff before custom input binds for controller, now you need to hold down the right stick to upgrade walls while in combat mode. This puts unnecessary pressure on the stick you were able to avoid before, which isn’t very good for me because I use Drift-senses, so having to do quick taps on the sticks each time was already terrifying enough. Sure, you could chain upgrades if you’re running along a path, but now that sliding is here too, if you’re not constantly over an upgradeable structure, you go into a slide accidentally, going way past what you tried to upgrade.

Yep yep I'd passed the controller feedback in this thread and others to the dev team.
