There's literally nothing on this online in relation to fortnite besides 1 post that has no comments. It seems to be an issue relating to Easy Anti Cheat possibly closing it before Fortnite fully launches might cause this.
Any fixes? reinstalling doesn't help, neither does verifying files obviously.
External link →This most likely unrelated to anticheat. This error means that somewhere early in the game startup it tries to connect to a specific server and fails. I'm not sure what content distribution network connection is so critical, that the game fails to start, but as with any connection errors try the following:
- Make sure your system date and time are accurate - in correct date/time often breaks connection encryption and leads to these kinds of errors
- Make sure Fortnite is not blocked by an antivirus or firewall
- Try using a different connection (e.g. connect through mobile data), if you can or VPN
