First of all, welcome back from your vacation. I hope you had great times with your families and your friends. Developers and community managers!

I'd like to report a degraded performance ever since patch v22.30 was deployed. And it has worsen when patch v23.00 was released. Here is what has been found:

  • General U.I is causing performance degradation. Also going near any "mini-activity" type of encounters can cause FPS drops as well

-Example video

Most obvious and easy to replicate is "rescue the survivors" mission. As seen in the video. If you are spawning too much survivors it can further worsen the issue.

As for the "mini activity" encounters (I.E activating a frisbee launcher, finding survivors, triggering encampments, etc) can do the same. Worsening the problem by getting closer to them.

  • any player joins a session can cause severe freezing

-Example video.

From what I have seen, it's related to the General UI performance bug. Just like the previous said problem.

  • Shader compiler seems to be broken for some DX12 users on PC (UNCONFIRMED)

-Example video

The only confirmation I can bring is that I am no longer able to play the game on DX12 in my PC.

I suppose that's everything for now.

u/FreightTrainUSA This is the most pressing issue that has come up since the 23.10 patch. Performance over the past few weeks has been degraded across the board due to extreme stuttering.

Will inform the team of these posts as they continue to show up when i meet with them directly. Beyond that, continuing to post issues with examples and videos when possible is always helpful.
