Howdy all. Here’s some insight on what happened with today’s profile issues:

  • At 12:30 pm ET we pushed a backend service update to fix an issue with the Event Store calendar in Save the World
  • Not long after, your feedback started pouring in and we observed a large increase in service errors and started our investigation
  • Around 4:50 pm ET, following our investigation, we identified that one of our service instances had entered a bad state and we promptly shut it down and replaced it
  • Services immediately recovered, preventing further occurrences but not fully resolving for some previously affected users

We are now actively working to identify all users who have sustained profile issues in regard to lost inventory in Save the World and errors with V-Buck purchases. We’ll do whatever it takes to make this right.

Thanks for sticking with us even when we trip on our own shoelaces.

This is fallout from the same issue, unfortunately. Player support should be able to get you playing again if you reach out to them here: http://help.epicgames.com/customer/portal/emails/new

They won't be able to restore your inventory with everything, but that should at least get you back into the game while we sort out the rest of the details.
