I had no intention of picking up this game...until

I've watched the let's plays for this game and thought it looked really fun but I didn't want to fall into the same path I have for the last batch of similar games to this (7 days to die, minecraft, portal nights, astroneer, etc.)

My problem is that I love games that have a base building aspect, but most of my normal crew do not. That coupled with the limited game time I now have and games like these get bland quickly.

Last night though an old gaming buddy texted me and ask if I wanted to join him and two other guys to play this game in the evenings. Now I am experiencing a very truncated hype train, a Hype Short Bus if you will, and it is of my own making. I stayed up late last night watching the commander let's plays, I've spent the the last 2 hours that I am supposed to be working cruising this sub and texting my friend, and now I only have one more day to wait!

Plus this weekend my wife and our son are taking a trip to visit her sister so I have more time to play than I have had in the last 3 months!!
