Hey everyone!

We wanted to give you guys some additional insight on how the feature Enhanced Demolition works. Enhanced Demolition was introduced in v8.10 and gives your pickaxe the power to destroy your SSD walls with a single swing! (Be careful who you give SSD permissions to!) You can do the following with this new feature:

  • Remodel your Storm Shield easily and efficiently before you start the mission to expand your base!
  • Use your pickaxe to destroy structures in your Storm Shield with one hit, and collect a refund of building materials based on its remaining health. (Materials for walls, floors, ceilings, etc go to the player who built those structures)

Additionally, We're aware that demolished trap materials currently go to the builder of the underlying structure (e.g. floor, ceiling, wall) and not to the player who initially placed the trap. This, along with a few other improvements, will come in a future update.

We realize this is a huge change and apologize that it wasn’t initially added to the patch notes. You can find the updated V8.10 Patch Notes at the provided link.

Thank you!

Any insights of what may come in the future? It was mentioned more challenging content for SSDs. Also, consider opening the Shield after SSD10 to allow exploration and material gathering.

We have some improvements for Storm Shields tentatively planned for Season 9.

Thank you for this amazing update! I'm glad it's not accidental.

Could I make a little suggestion? Maybe set this as an (default) option on the console of the HB. If someone, for whatever reason doesn't want that (glass looking SSDs) they could.

I'll relay this information over to the dev team :)

What about the neon set?

Yes, this is also intended.

u/Magyst, I was just wondering, are the neon heroes and weapons being added to the expansion pool intentional?

Yep! This was an intentional change.
