How to save game?

Mission/quest progress is saved only for successfuly completed missions. There are no mid-mission checkpoints that let you leave and return to complete the mission later.
- Quests that require you to something multiple times (e.g. eliminate 300 husks) don't have to be completed within a single mission, however if you quit mid-mission, progress made in that mission will be lost.
Loot and items that you pickup/craft are saved whenever you leave a mission, although tutorial is probably an exception here.
