Has to do with controller input. When you open the emote tab with a controller, then with touch this happens.
- The emote tab does not adjust for inputs, after opening it with a different input. If it did, like all other platforms, it would fix this issue.
Because of the issue with controller input showing up when you don’t have a controller connected, this is happening. u/FreightTrainUSA
The controller UI display is currently being looked at. The plan would be for this to be fixed in the next major patch. I'll send this over as an addition to the current issue, if it can be fixed earlier we will definitely do so.
