So on May 9th as soon as the pre orders for Breakpoint went live, I went ahead and pre ordered the collectors edition of the game because I really wanted it, but more importantly because I know these collectors editions can sometimes sell out quick and I wanted to make sure I had my copy secured. Anyways, I go through the checkout process and after I click ‘submit order’ it brought me to a 404 page not found page instead of the typical ‘thanks, your order has been placed’ page. So because of this I was a little concerned something may screw up with my order. Sure enough, I never got a order confirmation email so I contacted Ubisoft support about it and they confirmed that the order failed to process (their fault, not mine) but yet they had no problem removing the $189.99 out of my account.

So about 10 days or so ago I get refunded and was told that the game was officially removed from my account and that I could go ahead and repurchase it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like they removed the game from my account like they claimed because not only is it still showing up in my order history, but the website won’t let me purchase it again because it thinks I already own the game. I’ve been going back and forth with Ubisoft support now for 2 weeks and i’m literally not a single step closer to having this resolved than I was when I first contacted them. Not only that, but they’ve been extremely unhelpful and have pretty much just put in the bare-minimum amount of effort required to try and assist me with the issue. They told me almost 2 weeks ago that the case was ‘escalated to the proper team’ but i’m guessing that’s what they always say because I still don’t have any solution to my issue.

I’m a huge Ubisoft fan when it comes to their games, and I’m a very loyal customer. That’s obvious just by looking at my UPlay account. However, this situation has single-handedly soured me on Ubisoft so much so that I honestly at this point don’t know if i’m even going to mess with Breakpoint.

I’ve honestly never received such poor customer service in my entire life. And for being such a valued and loyal Ubisoft customer, you would think they would at least try and help me to the best of their abilities, but unfortunately that isn’t the case.

I just felt like I should update everyone and let everyone know about yet another Ubisoft support horror story. There’s no excuse for stuff like this. And they’re going to lose an extremely valuable and loyal customer in the process. As i’m sure a lot of you are here on this subreddit.

I’m not trying to be rude, i’m just extremely frustrated and at this point feel helpless. I don’t know what else to do at this point except for let my wallet speak for itself.
