Finally, I feel like this game is where it needed to be at launch. There were just too many things that kept ruining my experience with the game that should've been fixed before the game even launched.
Some of the things I've noticed are:
Difficulty level - I always had the game on the highest difficulty before and it didn't make a difference, I still found it easy. But holy hell, when I booted this game back up yesterday I was getting hell! I was like "I don't remember this game being so hard" but it's actually fixed and feels like more of a challenge, and the consequences of being spotted are severe! It gives an incentive to plan and do things methodically.
Stopping convoys - When I was trying to stop a convoy the AI teammates kept reminding me not to damage the convoy because we needed it. That never happened before, you could've literally planted a mine to stop it, the convoy would've exploded and reduced to ashes, and you'd still get full points for tagging the convoy. Keeping the convoy intact makes a huge difference and is making it more fun.
Night vision - You actually need it! I was trying to take down some people in the night and it was straining my eyes, but night vision fixed that. Before you didn't need it, I could've always seen fine without them, but glad that's fixed.
I only played one evening so far and I'm already noticing a bunch of stuff fixed. The game feels a lot better now and makes me wanna keep playing. I, however, do still think it's sad that it took this long to fix things and I think all these things should've been fixed from the beginning. Like a lot of other people said from the beginning that they needed another year to keep working on this game and this shows how true that was. Learning my lesson from these Ubisoft titles. But for now, looks like I'll be back in Bolivia for bit!
