This used to just happen to me with the Scorpio Scout.
I realized I never had it happen again when I switched to only having a single rifle. However, when it happened, I could usually resolve it by switching away to my other rifle, firing, and then switching back. Of course, it isn't consistent as to when it happens, so you'll be dealing with alerting some bases with your wild shots.
I reported it to Ubisoft; would be good to send this in to them as well so they can see it.
