Grounded, the smash Xbox hit currently available on Xbox Game Pass and Steam and played by over 10M players worldwide, is about to wow even more with the announcement of their upcoming Animated Series.

The series will exist in the same universe as the game, where the mundane becomes fantastical, and will follow four friends who have been shrunk down to the size of ants during the summer before they go to high school. Facing off against enormous predators, epic natural disasters, and an army of microbots that are part of a corporate conspiracy threatening their town, these teens will need to figure out how to survive in a familiar yet utterly foreign environment that is the backyard

Brent Friedman (Star Wars: Clone Wars, Rebels, Star Trek: Enterprise) is attached to craft the story, with Brien Goodrich (Halo) attached to direct and Bardel Entertainment to bring the series to life.

Are you ready to join Obsidian Entertainment at SDCC? Everyone is invited to take a trip into the backyard with a unique and immersive experience that places you within the world of Grounded. Test your mettle as you finally come into contact with the Broodmother herself!

Attendees will be “shrunk down” upon entry into the area and enter a portion of the grasslands where demo stations of the game have been set up for a timed experience. Afterwards, if they dare, visitors will have an opportunity to interact and take photos in the den of Grounded’s first boss - the GIANT OVERSIZED BROODMOTHER (17ft wide x 12ft length x 7.5ft in height to be exact 😱).
