Patch 30.4 is now live for all devices, bringing with it The Traveling Travel Agency mini-set! Zephrys and Dungar are running Azeroth’s premier travel agency, booking vacations all around the world. Unfortunately, all these exotic trips have introduced the following bugs that we’re tracking:

  • [Updated] [Hearthstone] Zephrys has a small chance to only offer one card on the Extravagant Tour.

  • [Updated] [Hearthstone] Using Carnivorous Cubicle has an issue where it copies base versions of cards (such as Zilliax without its modules and Dark Alley Pack without its size).

  • [Resolved] [Battlegrounds] The ...

Greetings, everyone.

Last month, I committed to being more transparent with you and to proactively share changes we are making with our community, along with context for why we’re making those changes. With that in mind, I’m here to share some details about what we’re working on, starting with something coming right around the corner.

Allow me to introduce the coolest (hottest?) hero skin we’ve ever made: Ragnaros, the Firelord! Ragnaros is our first-ever Mythic skin, pushing the boundaries even further than our Legendary skins. The team went all-out with Ragnaros: his emotive 3D portrait oozes Hearthstone charm; he pops out of the frame and SMASHES your opponents with Sulfuras for his attack animation; he sprawls over your side of the board; he has explosive victory and death screens; and he’s our first-ever dual class Hero Skin, usable in both Shaman and Warrior!

Patch 30.2.2, launching today, includes balance changes across modes.

Hearthstone Updates

The following cards have been adjusted to be weaker:

Dev Comment: The Standard metagame has a variety of decks that are feeling balanced against one another. Because of that, we’re only changing a couple cards that are leading to unhealthy play patterns that we want to address. Tidepool Pupil is quite strong, and is allowing decks to copy key cards too easily and play them too many times per game. We hope this change doesn’t delete the card from the metagame entirely, but does make it less effective as an enabler for combos and spells that are particularly effective when repeated many times per game. Doomkin isn’t as much a statistical outlier, but is causing more frustration. The card seems to have overstayed its welcome, so we are slowing it down by a turn to decrease its popularity.
