When reporting bugs please do the following:

• Include any steps you believe may be necessary to reproduce the bug.
• Specify whether you used a phone or tablet when observing the bug.
• Include your Operating System, browser, and browser version where possible.
• Send an e-mail to [email protected] instead if you believe it prudent to do so. Examples of appropriate cases are bugs capable of circumventing moderation.

The following is a list of forum bugs we have reproduced internally.

• Badges do not display correctly on the main badges page, as well as the pages for individual badges. (We may just disable these pages instead of fixing this.)
• EHG responses to individual posts are not displayed in the correct colour.
• Usernames are not displayed near posts when the forum displays avatars above forum posts. (This is restricted to mobile - and tablet? - forum layouts.)

Reported bugs we have not yet reproduced:

The following is a list of recent bug fixes:

• Purchasing supporter packs does not automatically grant supporter badges.
• Badges are shown for EHG team members in responses to individual posts.
• The category drop-down menu in the post window displays icons incorrectly.
• Sarno’s user card is abnormally tall compared to other user cards.
• Some links on the home page erroneously linking to the items page.
• Threads and posts may not be viewable when you are not logged in.
• Some people not active on the forum can lose their supporter badges.

• Automated badge assignment can fail for purchases made through PayPal.
• Some versions of Firefox display the wrong image (Discourse logo) as favicon.
• Automated badge asignment can fail if account is registered mid-purchase.
• The forum’s navbar has drop-down menus with links with white text, on mouse-over these have a white background, resulting in invisible white-on-white text.
• The forum optimizes uploaded images, then deletes the originals. The avatar library can fail to update appropriately, leading to contained images becoming unavailable.

Identified & corrected an issue which could cause people not active on the forum to lose their supporter badges. Please e-mail [email protected] if you were affected by this.

Our web developer has found and corrected an additional bug which could result in automated badge assignment to fail. This was limited to people paying using PayPal.

I tracked down why Firefox was using the Discourse logo for favicon and corrected the issue.

Our web developer established that automated badge assignment could fail when the account was registered mid-purchase, and has pushed a fix for this which is now live.

See? I’m not the only one who works on the weekend!

It may be prudent to bring this to the attention of the developers of the Discourse forum package. This is default functionality created by them - and I’d consider it relatively unlikely that our custom functionality is responsible for causing the problem.

We plan to update - and possibly reinstall, a decision on this hasn’t yet been made - our forum prior to beta beginning, so it might be worth waiting to see if the issue is resolved by us performing this update. If you’d like I can ping you when the update has been performed.

My initial suspicion is that the forum is looking at a Cloudflare IP address. We mighn’t be able to work on this for a bit - it’s a very busy time for us currently - but this is definitely fixable.

A post was split to a new topic: Game client crashes

This is intended functionality; the idea of a topic being pinned is to make sure that people will see it - once they’ve done so, there’s little reason for them to read it again - and thus, little reason for the topic to remain pinned for that particular person.

You can change this functionality by doing the following;

• Click on your avatar in the top-right corner.
• Click on your account name.
• Switch to the Preferences tab.
• Open the Interface section.
• Toggle whether Automatically unpin topics when I reach the bottom is ticked.
   

Unfortunately, this is also intentional.

While you cannot upload those files from your computer to the forum directly, you can still embed externally hosted image files. This can be done by either clicking on the upload button and then choosing “From the web”, or alternatively, by just pasting the URL into a post.

For example, this URL;

will result in this image being embedded;

Clicking the upload button should show the permitted file extensions;

I would expect there to be a fairly exhaustive guide to the forum package and how we have configured it at some point, however this would take a significant amount of time to work on, and it’s difficult to prioritize it over other work (e.g. Patch 0.7.2).

This issue has now been resolved.

The fix take a short period of time to propagate.

Identified and resolved an issue where a small number of drafts created on our previous forum appeared as published threads in https://forum.lastepochgame.com/c/uncategorized, which displayed at the bottom of https://forum.lastepochgame.com/categories for users of mobile devices. The threads have been deleted or moved as appropriate.
