63s so we're we're still rocking our
66s um Fireball frozen or sork and while

79s legendary potential on it so we're gonna
80s try and find some cool items uh and make
82s some legendaries here and if not I've

110s haven't hit the big bounce stage of our
113s patch uh just for 0.9 just yet so most
116s of that's not done but there are a lot
118s of system changes that have knock-on

122s add in a new unique item can cause
124s pretty significant ripples in the
126s balance world

148s changes and we've we've done a
151s we've got a bug pass and a language

157s on literally every single skill and node

163s um so there's a lot of stuff there a lot
164s of little things were just like stuff

169s um I've seen I've seen pull requests

173s um that I think are gonna have a
175s surprisingly big impact uh once they're

334s have you talked about adding more packs
336s and increase mob density there's there's
339s um in the current live version of the
341s game there is a bug that causes

346s a pretty high variance in pack sizes in
349s in the monolith and um so we fixed that
352s and the the on average will be increased
355s pack sizes but it's not like we're just
357s taking and turning that dial up it's
359s part of it is uh bug fix

366s yeah there should there should be some
368s some increase there in general
370s and I think it's important to note that
372s we never plan to have

375s as high density as you might see I mean
378s the big example is Path of Exile uh we
380s we do plan to have it be less dense than
383s that
384s um we're gonna use that as a benchmark
391s in German please yeah we're still
392s working on translations localizations
395s um we've partnered with a firm that
397s specializes in video game localization
399s especially with fantasy style games and
402s things like that and I will be we'll be
403s getting that as soon as we can a lot of
405s it is just setting up the systems to be
407s able to to localize it because like all
410s every single one of these skill notes
412s has to be done it has to be very precise

419s I think we've got to really get our
420s finish off our resistances there it's
423s supposed to be a big a big goal
429s just missed
434s do you have any idea on the release date
435s of missing master classes we do it'll be
437s 1.0

447s a floating FAQ here for for the when

456s because I feel like it's
458s we're already at like four times
464s not even 10 minutes in the Stream
468s um Mac M1 support win we're not planning
471s on expanding our platform supports uh
474s free 1.0 and then post 1.0 we can look
477s at it as a conversation but um
480s there's uh
482s there's no active plans for it at the
484s moment
504s a couple days ago I asked for a non-ct
506s multiple update you mentioned that
508s dungeons were recently added to
509s multiplayer environments so does that
510s mean all the core systems are working
512s right now well I mean Define working

519s he technically there and mostly
523s functional with a ton of bugs yeah all
525s the court systems are there
531s um at a quality level that we'd be happy
533s releasing and none of the core systems
535s are there
539s no they're still still favorite to do
546s there's a lot of little things that um
550s that come up
552s that like you never would expect at
554s least I wouldn't
559s um
560s and and sometimes it's just like
561s unanticipated play patterns

566s and we're also we also do get a lot of
567s good feedback that that Sparks
569s conversations it's not just like a
572s oh take the feedback and just do
573s whatever it says but like a lot of it
575s does sometimes just things that we just
576s never thought of and it ends up being
578s something like okay we have to discuss
579s this now and figure out if we want to do
581s anything about it
590s there's a cool thing recently that we've
592s gotten with emerging animations and MOB
596s immunity while emerging so there's this
598s like that uh I care what they're called
601s where they just like where it like rolls
603s together just happened a second ago
604s right there
605s um where they like the rocks on the
607s floor like collect together and form a
608s Golem that fights you but it's really
610s easy just to kill it in the emerging
612s State as we call it
614s um
616s and so we've recently set up uh
618s a system to force it to be allowed to
621s spawn
624s little things like that that are coming
626s in still and
627s um like we talked about this last week
629s but jumping enemies you can now kill
631s them in midair they don't technically
633s die until they until they land at the
635s end of their jump but
637s um
640s like they'll you can bring them to zero
643s life and then they do land the instant
644s they hit their own void fuser if that
646s that was the enemy that rolls together
653s all right hello is there any plans to
656s add a new game plus with harder campaign
657s and multiple difficulties like normal
659s hard ultimate and more no that's not
660s something that we're interested in
661s looking at right now we prefer just to
663s have the campaign continue if you wanted
664s to expand the extend the campaign
667s um and have the difficulties extend
668s expand that way
670s um part part of it is that we it lets us
672s put
674s um more complex mechanics
676s later in the campaign so you're if
679s you're just redoing the campaign on say
682s nightmare or whatever you kind of can't
683s well you could you could you can add
685s things to it a little bit but
688s um the core functionality of the
689s mechanics and the storyline everything
690s that's there has to stay relatively the
692s same right

695s and and so adding new uh
700s uh adding any new chapters is we think
702s it ends up with a better product at the
704s end and and also like it's a time travel
706s game like we can do the same area in a
710s different time and and kind of achieve a
714s similar effect as well
717s um like we haven't been to the ancient
718s era much at all it's our it's our least
720s utilized era at this point like
723s um when you're zoomed out this far all
725s of these that have like this the star
727s means there's places there and so
729s there's like five areas and 14. so it's
731s like there's a lot here and there's
733s there's a there's a lot here and there's
736s there's well it's very concentrated here
738s but there's a lot here you know
740s um this one
743s literally nothing there actually are
746s some areas but they're like
749s yeah
751s few and far between

760s so yeah um still a lot to do in the uh
763s in the ancient era like how cool does

806s also with multiplayer isn't there danger
808s that a known engine could be more easily

814s so as far as the the known engine
816s exploiting stuff it's
820s if you've built the multiplayer systems
822s in such a way that
824s um I assume we specifically mean for
826s like multiplayer explaining
828s um if you've built the system in such a
830s way that

834s it is exploitable that's it doesn't
836s matter what engine you're using
839s uh so it there's really no difference

844s as far as uh how do we decide to pick
847s unity in the first place
849s um part of it was so I actually joined
851s the project a few months after it
854s started
855s um and it was it was development was
857s already in extremely early stages but
860s there was it was started it was in unity
863s um and we just rolled with it at that
864s point a lot of it has to do with what's
866s available
867s um looking at the scope that you have
869s the resources you have what's what's
871s possible to make something
874s um and that's a lot of what it is is
875s that uh while Unity might not be the
879s like best at this or the most at that or
882s whatever like for various different
884s categories it is really good at a lot of
887s things and one of those things being
888s just accessibility

892s and and sometimes just getting your foot
894s in the door is what you need to to get
896s the ball rolling and I know this is like
898s the most like generic sounding answer
900s she doesn't sound like a hockey player
902s giving a mid period interview or

905s um yeah I just gotta keep keep my head

932s other half this question usually is if
934s knowing what you know now would you have
935s changed from you know to do something
936s else no I don't think I would have
938s um this wasn't strictly my decision to

942s um but yeah yeah it was the
945s there's there's a lot of good stuff that
948s came out of it
949s um I don't know if we'd have a game at
951s all if we didn't choose Unity
954s um just because of what it afforded us
956s so yeah
962s scroll up it's a couple questions behind
965s here all right next question do you have
967s any developers working on new classes or
970s is pretty much all hands on deck for
971s multiplayer
972s um well right now the uh development of
976s new classes is not a active the design
980s of some new classes is is stuff we're
983s working on pretty heavily right now
984s there's a lot of design work that has to
985s be done before implementation actually
987s starts to occur
989s um and so yeah we're pretty heavily in
992s multiplayer but we do take time to have
993s design meetings um and sometimes that
996s focuses around uh multiplayer mechanics
1000s and things like that sometimes that
1001s focuses around new classes we recently
1003s had a pretty big design meeting
1005s revolving around warlock which was cool
1008s um
1010s and there's yeah there's lots of new
1012s stuff there
1013s um we changed our mind on a lot of stuff
1014s that we originally had planned
1017s um I'm really excited for it I think I
1019s think this is gonna be
1020s uh it's gonna be a good one we'll see
1022s though I mean literally nothing's
1023s implemented for it yet
1026s the the fireball's so funny because like
1028s I showed off the new fireball
1030s um VFX a few weeks ago and uh I I played
1034s with it a little bit more while I was
1036s doing a few things recently and um in
1038s the editor so in the with like the
1040s latest builds and everything
1042s and uh coming going back to this one now
1045s I'm like it doesn't look as nice it
1048s still looks really good and I remember
1049s seeing this one and being Head Over
1050s Heels about this Fireball and now that
1052s we've got the even newer better one it's
1055s just
1055s yeah you know
1061s anyways will we ever see new equipment
1064s slots like pants and shoulders will that
1066s be too much of a nightmare to rebalance
1068s uh it's it's not impossible
1072s um I'd say it's very unlikely at least
1074s anytime soon but it's not impossible and
1078s there's a lot of different ways you can
1079s do
1081s um
1082s new item slots uh because something that
1085s might not be immediately obvious is
1087s you've got a whole bunch of extra item
1089s slots right here those are actually
1090s items they're coded as items
1094s um if we let you you could pick them up
1096s and place them in your inventory like
1098s those are items
1100s um
1101s and yeah so there's like there's lots of
1104s different ways you can do more item
1106s slots and it doesn't always have to be
1107s pants or whatever or shoulders
1110s um
1111s I think the biggest problem with with
1113s adding a pants or shoulder slot in is is
1116s more in the um
1118s the visuals in that all of our body
1121s armor so like from your like the top
1124s cuff of your boots all the way to your
1128s neck and all the way to your wrists all
1130s of that is one
1132s um one slot and the the visuals are
1137s displayed and designed as such and so we
1139s have to redo all of those so I think
1141s that's really the big thing that would
1142s be limiting for it
1143s so likely if we were to add more item
1147s slots
1149s they would be they'd be more abstract I
1151s think
1152s so yeah
1153s like like like the a common one that
1156s gets suggested is is um a special slot
1159s in the middle here
1160s um that affects the idols in some way
1162s but yeah that's something that gets like
1164s it's suggested a fair bit
1169s which I do think is a great idea
1176s um
1177s and and I'll let you know whenever I see
1179s a question will we ever see blank maybe
1181s I mean I hope to be still making this
1183s game
1184s in 10 years you know like ever's a long
1187s time
1189s all right well the will there be
1191s beginner leveling skills and end game
1194s viable skills
1195s um I mean we try to make the skills that
1197s you unlock at the start of the game
1200s um straightforward and uh because I'm
1202s gonna use the word simple and I think
1203s simple's the wrong term here
1205s um straightforward and uh like really
1208s really quick to learn and then
1211s um
1211s we like to save the the more complicated
1214s skills or the
1217s um the more mechanically deep skills for
1220s at least at least their pre-specialized
1222s versions for a little bit later on so um
1225s you see things like black hole is not a
1227s starting skill but like lighting glass
1228s and Fireball are they're pretty basic
1230s just like I'm gonna shoot a Elemental
1232s projectile at G type that skill
1234s and
1237s um so yeah we do try and have that
1238s progression be from like easier
1242s beginners like starting out skills to
1245s um more complex things that maybe rely
1247s on other skills there's more interaction
1248s there's more setup required
1252s um
1253s but we still try and make it so that the
1255s those these emails early skills are
1257s still late game viable lighting Blast
1259s has been continues to be a a Powerhouse
1263s of an ability even right through very
1266s end game super in-game viable stuff so
1269s like I I think that as that's the one
1271s you start with like it's your opening
1273s skill
1274s um so we really try not to to break
1276s skills into those categories but really
1278s have skills that can fulfill different
1281s roles
1282s um at different points throughout the
1283s game and be flexible
1287s it's not that answer the question if if
1288s your ass is something a little bit
1289s different let me know and I'll try to
1291s answer it again uh is the layout

1384s expect it just shows up and then we make
1385s a post around it because we think it's

1388s um I think that that happened a lot of
1389s those cases that you're probably

1439s can be played with a controller it
1441s definitely can be played with a
1442s controller I wouldn't say it has full
1444s controller support because there's
1446s certain elements like uh text input for
1449s naming characters and things like that
1450s that do not bring up
1452s um an on-screen keyboard to work with so
1454s you do still need a keyboard
1456s um for some select things I think
1458s getting into game at the very start
1459s might struggle with the controller at
1461s the moment we do plan to round out
1463s controller support for 1.0 so that it is
1466s so we can say like yes it has controller
1468s support there's no caveats or asterisks
1469s there
1470s um but right now it's it's I would give
1472s it a solid B plus for controller support
1474s at the moment it's not perfect it's not
1476s finished there's work to do

1479s but you know it's pretty good and it's
1480s pretty fun and
1482s um I know I know a lot of people that
1483s that actually actively play with a
1485s controller

1488s I mean there's another feature that
1489s we're we're working on for multiple
1490s right now is is getting controllers in

1553s kind of hoping to get in these um
1557s in some of these slots maybe a little
1559s bit of mana on uh

1570s uh when multiplayer goes live is
1573s anti-cheat software going to be required
1574s to install
1576s um so the method I I don't want to say
1579s yes or no to that right now just in case
1580s something changes however
1583s um there's nothing planned at the moment
1584s and I don't see why we would need it
1587s really even if you're cheating with your
1590s client and sending false inputs to the
1593s servers
1594s um it won't work
1596s like it won't do anything it'll just
1598s kinda
1600s you'll be like oh my health is four
1603s million or I do a bajillion damage well
1605s the circle's gonna no you don't you deal
1607s seven deal with it
1610s um
1611s and uh yeah there's the servers it's
1614s more the client is sending requests on
1616s things to do and the server is actually
1618s playing the game
1619s um and you're just rendering a visual of
1621s what's happening on your clients
1624s um so there's a lot of inherent security
1626s there that comes with it and and yes
1628s there's lots of other ways that there's
1629s security issues and where we are working
1631s to deal with those for sure but um and
1633s and the I think the the style of
1635s anti-cheat software you're getting at is
1637s not really what we're what we're aiming
1638s for
1640s um
1641s the the most the most most important
1643s factor of of anti-cheat for us is
1644s maintaining the Integrity of the latter
1647s um than anything else so like a lot of
1649s the anti-cheat software that we see
1652s um
1656s in in other games like I I don't want to
1658s call it any games uh as examples but I
1660s think you can judge me with a question
1662s you're asking you probably have a good
1663s good idea of the same games I'm thinking
1665s of too um and I don't think you need to
1667s be worried
1670s I realize it's like don't don't worry
1674s about that it'll be fine it'll be fine
1676s that's such a terrible way to answer
1677s that question
1681s we never want to
1683s um one of the things we do try and be
1686s very careful of is we never want to
1688s impact if there's a group of people that
1690s are
1691s um doing some sort of behavior that
1693s maybe we don't like in the game or uh
1696s we're trying to to curb or or
1699s I don't know change how it's working or
1701s something like that we'd rather not put
1704s in a system that has an equal chance of
1707s negatively impacting the people who are
1709s playing as intended so um
1712s an example of this that's a little bit
1714s aside but something that I'll mention uh
1717s the the numb lock trick comes comes up
1719s as an example pretty frequently so you
1721s can
1722s um
1723s uh you can you can do is you can assign
1725s basically you can you can force Auto
1728s cast to happen
1729s um and a lot of times people have
1732s suggested hey like why don't you just
1733s detect for numb lock and you know
1735s disable the functionality and so like
1737s like to lock people out or whatever
1740s but there's a chance that someone is
1744s using that for something else and it's
1747s so negatively impacts someone who is
1748s playing appropriately
1750s um and then there's this other things
1752s like okay we'll just just detect four uh
1755s repeated button presses in the same
1757s interval
1758s um okay great now maybe someone is just
1762s like weirdly rhythmic with how they play
1765s and they're pressing the same that
1767s button in the same interval every time
1768s and it accidentally Flags someone who's
1770s literally just playing normally
1772s um and so there's there's this a lot of
1775s back and forth of like oh trying to
1776s catch the cheater or catch the person
1777s doing something you don't want them to
1778s do which we don't actually care about
1780s which is why I'm using it as an example
1783s um
1784s and having it negatively impact people
1785s who are just playing normally
1787s and so we really want to avoid those
1789s situations
1790s um because the people who are just
1791s playing normally are the people who were
1793s trying to cater to the most you know
1799s because that's the vast majority of
1801s people playing
1802s okay
1807s uh released has resubbed for four months
1810s in a row thank you very much glad to

1820s um consider for April Fool's swapping
1822s bosses of Poe or another game get
1824s shayford Ali and vice versa oh if that
1826s was as easy as just like swapping it

1835s um I think that's that's an extremely
1838s large undertaking

1869s a couple people would try yes
1872s um it doesn't matter where you purchase
1873s it from at all website steam you get
1875s literally the exact same thing
1877s completely so if you buy and I know it
1880s sounds ridiculous people say that but it
1881s is
1882s um if you buy it on the website what you
1884s can do is you can put your
1887s um you can activate your steam account
1889s on your last Epoch account basically
1892s just linking the two together and it
1894s will just activate the game last Epoch
1896s on your steam account so if you buy it
1897s on our website you can get the steam
1898s copy for free
1900s um it doesn't give you a key to input so
1902s you can't like buy the website get a key
1904s and give the key to a friend so that's
1905s not possible but
1907s um yes if you buy one copy in in the
1910s website you do get the same one copy on
1912s Steam as well
1913s um and then on top of that if you buy it
1915s on Steam you can also go get the uh when
1918s you when you first open it on Steam it
1920s creates a last Epoch account and then
1921s when you could log into the website with
1923s that last apoc account and you can
1925s download the sandal online if you wanted
1926s to
1927s I will say though that I would extremely
1930s strongly recommend no matter where you
1931s buy it from steam or our website use the
1933s steam client it's so much better our
1936s Standalone client is terrible
1938s um I can see that because I made it
1940s mostly
1941s um and it's it's not that it's terrible
1944s it's just outdated and we haven't been
1946s upkeeping it much really
1948s um the steam
1951s download servers are just

2577s really hard on what it like the feeling
2579s it gives and that sort of stuff and the
2581s mechanics are sort of like
2582s they kind of kind of the mechanics of
2584s like well what do you guys think's good

2589s usually like give some examples of like
2591s ideas we have that we think might fit
2593s the theme and it's the difference
2594s between really a top-down and a
2595s bottom-up design

2603s care what slot it's on I don't care what

2722s can't so when we go to release a patch
2724s we're we're not like releasing eight
2726s versions of it whatever you know there's
2729s less testing things can be done quicker

2732s little bit more as we go forward but at
2733s least initially the goal is to have as
2735s few versions as possible

2738s so we can do things faster until we get
2741s better at it that's one of the big
2742s advantages that uh teams like GGG have
2746s is that they're extremely experienced in
2748s releasing and maintaining builds across

3853s you've been trying to kill the whole
3854s time everything else all the little ones
3855s are already dead and it doesn't do
3856s anything so like avoiding that situation

3861s less positive gameplay experience is uh

4054s it's this light pale blue you see
4056s lightning go out and it's this like kind
4058s of Darker uh blue and it's unfortunately
4061s the same color we're consider doing
4062s yellow lightning it didn't feel good

4065s um you know like so we we try and have
4067s these colors indicate what the damage
4069s they're doing is and usually it's just
4071s by the color that they are themselves is
4073s also that same color so it's
4075s um we tried to to
4077s um signpost that as much as possible
4079s broadcast as much as possible as far as
4081s um defenses go I don't have anything
4083s unless it says so so it'll actually show
4085s up underneath the make something yeah

4093s this scorpions that you fight a lot in
4095s the monolith these big giant scorpions
4096s and it says resists fire damage they
4098s have a bunch of fire resist I think it's

4111s doesn't have any so yeah we do tell you
4119s aren't that's listed anywhere is that

4266s um just built-in damage drains every
4267s time damage is dealt is just like a
4268s little bump up and down one way or the

4272s to make it so you're not just living
4274s like my Fireball does 47 damage and
4276s every single time I shoot a fireball
4278s it's always 47.

4281s yeah and sometimes you see like spiky
4283s numbers that are like a tiny bit like oh
4284s I just broke 15K for the first time just
4286s because you rolled high on that like
4287s little damage variance or something like

4290s so yeah
4292s uh probably
4294s triggering uh abilities that you might
4297s not realize are triggering and a
4299s combination of that and just the natural
4301s variance that is built into it
4306s also if you're looking at boss damage
4308s bosses have
4310s um wildly variable Dr they have adaptive
4313s Dr that uh that changes based on how
4316s fast you're killing them
4318s so that'll change things pretty heavily
4320s too
4321s that might that might be actually what's
4323s causing a swing that big

4327s and I feel like adding probably you
4329s thought about adding an arena mode uh
4331s that's like boss rushing oh yeah we

4417s there's so many sound effects for just
4419s like tiny specific little things and
4422s um I think sound effects get

4428s specific feedback compared to a lot of

4438s we're we're done it's something that
4440s we're constantly working on constantly
4441s improving and I I can't say specifics of
4444s which things are getting sound effects

4921s move over them they explode if you don't
4923s pop them enough you'll end up in a
4925s situation where there's too many
4927s it'll just constantly be accidentally
4929s popping them uh and then you've also
4932s just got the just various area denial
4934s systems in the spins that happen

4938s this ability that happens as well so you
4940s get the void damage with this I really
4942s like this in this boss I think this is a
4943s really well designed boss
4945s um and it hits its story story notes as
4948s well

4955s and you get uh oh come on move what are

4961s uh and and there's some really cool
4963s items that are thematically linked to
4965s this boss's abilities because it's uh
4968s it's a classic sorcerer Mage trial

4973s fight but then there's this void damage
4975s because it's corrupted and so you have
4977s the uniques that are associated with it
4978s have void corrupted versions of their
4981s normal Elemental abilities
4983s which I think is really cool

6280s the most part because the power
6281s difference you get from 95 to 100 is
6284s literally five Mastery points are five
6287s passive points and you've already
6288s allocated over a hundred at that point
6292s um so you're increasing your total
6294s number of passives by less than one
6296s percent
6298s um and because you've already taken 100
6299s you've already taken your first hundred
6301s favorite
6302s um and so you're you're you're not even
6304s taking your top
6306s you know like 10 passive Point worth
6309s like you're putting just into filler
6311s points and things like that at the end
6312s just like little extra tiny things that
6313s you're like well it wasn't important
6315s enough for me to take because I was
6316s going but I'll fill it and backfill with
6318s it now so like
6319s you're you're not worried you're not
6322s getting even the top tier point so it's
6323s the amount of power you're getting from
6325s those last few levels is really low and
6327s we want to emphasize it more as an
6328s achievement rather than a character
6330s building
6331s point
6334s um for those last few levels at least so
6336s let's also want to extend the tail there
6337s a little bit as far as experience goes
6339s as a as a useful resource after you have
6342s hit 100
6344s um there's little things like
6346s um
6346s oh lots of health on that there's little
6348s things like
6350s um just respecting your your spells and
6353s abilities faster but but um yeah we have
6356s looked at other things you can use
6358s experience for uh to tie into other
6360s mechanics possibly it's hard to do
6362s without
6364s um
6365s it's it's really difficult and I we
6368s don't have any concrete plans for
6369s specific uses for experience as a
6373s resource Post 100 and I think there's
6375s actually a good chance we'd launch 1.0
6377s without any specific uses for experience
6380s as a resource Post 100
6382s um however
6385s I do think that even with that being the
6387s case there's room for progression
6389s systems and uh progression tracks that
6392s don't care about experience and start
6395s later in the game
6398s um and extend through level 100 so it's
6401s level at level independent
6403s and the people who come here a lot will
6404s know exactly what I'm talking about uh
6407s progression systems for for super late
6410s game
6411s that um
6414s can can still be done so there's
6415s something there and and it starts before
6417s you hit 100 as well so level independent
6419s is the important part
6420s which I know doesn't use experience
6422s which is the whole part of your question

6430s uh what are your thoughts on permanent
6432s tanky minions versus squishy Minions

6438s I think there's a place for both I think

6442s where you want both I think there's
6445s um like those builds that and and nodes
6448s on trees that are like whatever anything
6450s dies get a bonus and like
6453s like squishy minions are things that die
6455s so they help with that you know like
6456s there's we try and we try and put
6458s mechanics that are complementary to both
6460s Styles in there I think that
6462s a lot of people
6465s um
6465s really lean towards the this minion will
6468s never die because it's so tanky type of
6471s uh preference I think that's a common
6474s common General preference
6477s um but we do try and we try to
6481s um we're building we're looking at
6483s something like let's look at Necromancer
6484s for example compared to
6486s um Prime list I think it's important to
6487s note that we
6488s if you're thinking about um let's say
6490s about campaigns let's not look at totems
6492s for a second but let's look at
6493s specifically companions so mobile
6495s minions I think it's the important part
6497s here is that we try and make primalists
6499s mobile minions something that you are
6501s re-summiting way less often most the
6505s time they're not re-summoned
6507s in an entire play session you know like
6509s it's it's uh oh I think we actually uh I
6512s don't want to say that I don't know if
6513s it's working
6514s um we we so yeah the goal is is for most
6519s um primeless means to be that tanky not
6521s resellable and and part of that is
6523s they're and they're toted as companions
6525s where you are it's a creature that
6527s you're exploring the world with and
6528s re-summoning it is uh it breaks that
6531s connection it breaks that Bond
6534s a little bit strange little thing and
6536s this project we have that down system
6537s where you can res them and being able to
6540s Res allies down minions is so great
6543s my goodness it's wonderful just putting
6546s that out there
6547s um
6549s little multiplayer things you know
6553s and uh where was I going with this and
6556s then and then so yeah let's look at
6557s necro as the whole so on necro you have
6559s both of these styles of minions
6561s um you have like bone Golem for example
6563s that's not designed to be re-summoned
6565s frequently and you have something like
6566s let's go far extreme other end of the
6568s pro of the um Spectrum here is you've
6570s got volatile zombie which is the whole
6572s point of it is to blop and die
6577s and part of what we're trying to do is
6579s create a
6581s with with Necromancer specifically
6583s create a class where the action you're
6586s taking frequently as a Summoner is
6588s you're summoning things so having that
6590s having that as an as a common action
6592s where you are summoning things is is the
6596s goal like that's like that's something
6597s that we're trying to have be a common
6599s goal and not it's not not a not a forced
6602s thing that you're not a force to
6603s actually see the system Necromancer
6604s builds where you're not constantly
6605s summoning things but where the act of
6608s summoning things is one of the primary
6610s functions of a Summoner
6612s but we don't want you to have to
6614s re-summit just where you're just
6615s re-summiting permanent minions that I
6618s think is what feels bad because
6619s re-summiting volatile zombies when you
6621s know that they're gonna blow up when you
6623s make one I don't think feels bad at all
6624s and that's why they're like that we try
6626s and put a lot more of the
6628s um the permanence on uh the ability to
6632s make permanent minions like
6634s um bone gone for example as something
6635s that can stick around for a lot longer
6638s because of the feelings that it tries to
6640s focus so it's a lot of meaning to minion
6642s differences that we try and put there
6643s but we do like to have
6645s both types
6647s and they're very intentionally both
6648s placed there
6651s um
