Hey, new player here just rolling first character and just got mastery (finally) just now.
Anyway, I'm PoE and Diablo Veteran, played some of other similar games more or less too - Titan Quest, Torchlight 1 & 2, Grim Dawn, etc..
I must say this game does loot completely differently. Either I'm stupid or item modifiers do not scale with level? You only get access to more item bases at higher level, correct?
With that said, then what's the point of loot? I'm picking rares and I already have more or less mods I want - so basically all new loot is obsolete - more or less. It's not like in all other similar games where whilst leveling you upgrade equipment every few levels, because it simply becomes outleveled due to affix scaling.
Can someone explain what is the point of loot and what sort of loot matters and is considered a relevant drop? Or this is more like Diablo 3, where it's all about sets and unique pieces - and I'm focusing way too much on rares?
The rest of the game is pretty transparent and quite easy to get the character building going - definitely no need for masters in gamepedia like in PoE.
