After the “first week” of Worlds, for the first time in history, there is no single West team with a positive winrate. 4 teams run 1:2 and 2 teams — 0:3.

The total score is 4:14, West vs East (if we count only major regions without wildcard LJL) is 1:12.

(Here I use median, not average, to balance skewers like -3.3K gold for Odo today):

All lanes for West lose to their opponents. Toplaners in games against East are down by 20 cs and 1k gold at 15 minutes mark. Midlaners by 14.5 cs and 610 gold. ADC by 4 cs and 200 gold. Junglers are the only ones who are positive in cs department against their opponents: they are up by 6.5, but negative in gold — minus 350 gold.

As teams, West has only 33% first blood, 25% of the first dragon, 18% of 2nd herald, and 30% of all dragons against East. The only good stats are first tower (42%) and first herald (50%), but majorly due to Fnatic who took 3 out of 3 FT and FH in their games. The rest 5 teams have here 22 and 33% accordingly.

So, laning phase sucks, early game sucks, mid-game sucks, meta read sucks, macro sucks, and teamfights sucks.

This is the most hopeless West run I’ve seen in the history of Worlds. Even 2016-2017 was better, as that time 3 NA team gave false hope by running the first week 2:1 twice.

No it's not. DFM beat C9. It's actually shortening.

Yeah but by that logic C9 beat Damwon (at MSI) and you could just say the gap is shortening the other way.
