as a fnatic fan im biased, but every time vedius is casting fnatic, it turns into a flaming fnc show. which is very understandable in some games, but it gets a little too much in my opinion. humanoid aurelion sol absolutely smurfed the midgame in game 1 and i took them 10 minutes to realize, for example.

Hey man, I saw your comment and normally I ignore these but I'm not above criticism and so I decided to vod review the series to better understand your perspective.

From my perspective, the most 'inflammatory' comments I made about Fnatic was how in game 1, they were getting individually outplayed by Vitality which I don't think was unfair given they were killed in lane in both top and bot at this point. And then, in game 2, Medic and I talked about Razork playing Zed and I mentioned that I don't trust Razork which was meant to be a joke but I think my tone was poorly executed and so I could totally understand if it was interpreted as me actually meaning that.

Aside from that I couldn't find myself criticising fnatic for anything really, I definitely wouldn't describe anything I said as flame. Regarding your humanoid point, I checked in the vod and at roughly 26+ minutes, he had about a 400g gold lead over Czajek, which given the state of the game I didn't really think was that important and this was just before the big teamfight that they used to swing the game in their favour. Following the fight he went up to a 1.4k+ gold lead, which I acknowledged about 30-60 secs after the replay. I even said "we haven't talked about him much this game", acknowledging that I probably should have mentioned him a bit more.

Given that you believe this to be a consistent trend among every Fnatic cast I do, I'd really love to understand from your perspective the comments I make that hurt your viewing experience so I can improve it for the future and if you have any timestamps or quotes it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not previous poster, but I am also a (very) long time FNC fan and LEC watcher so I can provide some perspective.

I don't personally think you were somehow out of line in this (or any other) cast, but I have noticed this split that narrative and talking points by cast and especially analysts on broadcast are very negative. Basically, talking points that you guys reiterate on Fnatic are:

- heavily prone to throwing in late game (which is generally untrue this year and based entirely on last year's summer finals - it's not even the same team anymore)

- emotional and based on momentum (even though this and last year iteration of the team managed to turn around a number of BO series after starting with a loss)

- inconsistent

- unreliable

Now I'm not saying that these are entirely false, but if I just tuned into LEC this year and only listened to cast/analysis on broadcast, I would come to conclusion that Fnatic are bottom feeder team. And I don't think you guys are doing that intentionally or anything, I'm just trying to put things into perspective and maybe explain why some like previous poster feel that way. I also fully recognized I am biased as well, but I have seen this narrative (i.e. LEC cast being biased vs Fnatic) before and have never felt it to be true, but this split it does feel a bit silly. After all, aside from G2, Fnatic are the most consistent team in LEC when it comes to placing in top 3.

Hey there, I really appreciate you replying and I think your perspective is completely fair. I want to start by saying I think this is easy to solve and a general tone shift for fnatic can be achieved, but I'd like to provide some examples of where these comments come from.

While it's true that fnatic throwing in the late game was something prevalent to the team last year, its something we've actually already seen from them this split like in Game 2 of their series vs SK. Inconsistency comments are also tied to this. They go from losing to SK one week and beating KC the next. With only 1 series being played a week, It can be hard to gauge their performance given their results.

When we think about last split, I stand firm in my belief that they should've lost their series to BDS and wouldn't have made top 3. They themselves acknowledged how poorly that series was played.

I want to reiterate that I completely understand how you feel. For example BDS last year consistently made top 3 and that accomplishment was highly praised. So why is it that when fnatic do it, the discussion somehow isn't as positive. And i think in that regard fnatic are held to a standard where theyre expected to win. Many of the broadcast predicted fnatic to win winter, not just get top 3, and I think they're held to a standard where a lot of the good that they do is an expectation and the mistakes that they make can end up being the primary points of discussion. Is that fair? Something worthy of debate for sure, but I think we can agree that perhaps the successes are not celebrated enough.

Again, I want to thank you for sharing your experience and if you ever experience segments or comments that we make as being unfair, please don't hesitate to reach out!
