There are so many posts on this subreddit that spread false narratives about the game. These people blame being hardstuck on riot games instead of focusing on improving in league.
Here's something I can reliably tell everyone of you who belives in these false narratives:
When you are a certain rank, you can look back on your past vods and immediately notice so many mistakes that you did. I can go back to recordings of me playing in silver, gold and platinum and I have no doubt that I belonged in these mmr brackets in the past.
Nowadays, I don't do most of these mistakes anymore or they just happen way less. And when I play on smurf accounts it suddently feels really easy to carry in lower mmr. This is because matchmaking is determined by your skill, and not by luck. Sure, you can get lucky and have a 10 game winstreak or have bad luck and have a 10 game loss streak. And with the recent lp changes your lp can fluctuate a lot over a short period of time. But in the long run, after around 80 games - if you are playing on your main or on a brand new account - you will reach your current skill level over and over again.
I climbed with 2 accounts to diamond and I have another account with really bad mmr that is also close to diamond. Stop coping.
"Oh but I have really bad lp gains on my account, even with a 70% winrate"
Ask yourself why your lp gains are bad! Your overall winrate doesn't matter. If you have a 70% winrate after smurfing in silver then you will still reach your current elo after playing for a few days. And then sites like opgg and porofessor still tell you that your overall winrate is really high, but you currently can only win 50% of your games. That's why riot gives you +15/-15 now, or +22/-22 with the recent changes. It's supposed to be this way, we all have to deal with the same system.
Even if your winrate was at around 51% and now, after a long period of time, you managed to win a lot of games in a row, your lp gains can get worse. This is not to "hold you artificially down", it's because you were most certainly just lucky for a few games, and riot wants you to prove that your climb was based on skill. If you are consistenly winning more than losing, then your lp gains will normalize, as the algorithm detects that you are legitimately winning due to an increase in your skill.
We all have to deal with the same matchmaking system. People who are good climb, people who are not improving will inevitably end up with mediocre lp gains and not climb.
Review your vods, watch a lot of coaching content and try to become better at the game. This is a guaranteed way to climb over a long time.
