Dan, don't even read this. Just feel warm and fuzzy, then keep scrolling. Your eyes are busy, good sir.

I've been seeing this crazy man all over this sub lately. Not to say he hasn't been active before, but his visibility seems to have increased quite a bit. Frankly, he's in danger of becoming LoR's Mark Rosewater, which is just about as thankless a job as I can fathom -- especially since he's talking to all of us about our concerns regarding the game and its future, which means he's painted a target on his back for people who don't feel like they've gotten what they want after the fact.

I just want to say thank you (also, why are you reading this, Dan?! I specifically told you not to bother, smh). Thank you for listening to our concerns, yes, but thank you even more for talking to us about them. You're putting yourself in an impossible position for (presumably) little tangible gain, a job I could never do for myriad reasons. Personally, I feel heard; even if the changes I personally think would be best for the game don't come to pass, I have confidence that there will be changes, and that those will be for the better -- or, at the very least, will be made with the best of intentions.

I hope there are many, many more people who feel the same.

P.S.: I had no idea what to flair this with. Almost went with Humor\Fluff, but felt that would send the wrong message. :V

Oh my god I missed this! It came up while I was randomly searching for a different post I made. Thank you!

I'm really privileged to be on this team, and it's so great to see folks appreciate it too. Seeing all this positivity has been huge for encouraging other Devs to get more involved, and the response to my original post on game feedback inspired our community manager to have us do more dev blogs, etc.

Thanks for playing our game, and being such a great community. :)

If Dan does see this (even though he was told not to) please help slow the game and make control decks more viable. Having the game end at round 5 or 6 is too fast and I'm burnt out playing aggro or midrange

I did see this but not till today. :)

This is something I'm interested in exploring too. Fast game times are really important to a lot of players, that matters, but there is also a lot of potential fun design space in longer games. It's always a balancing act.

Hmm... Good question.

Normally someone saying they're interested in trying cardgames or ttrpgs for the first time does the trick... But that won't work on this forum.

People used to joke I had an aura of "Save vs. Playing D&D" in college.
