[2022] Should I get back into the game? How is the game doing?

Hi! I know, the title of this thread speaks for itself, but I would like to give some context. I used to play a lot, LOT, of Runererra, I loved the game, all the new expansions, all that. But I started to loose interest when Runeterran champions started coming out. I thought it will be fun, but in reality, it was very lame boring and they just kept realising them and I stopped playing when Norra came out. I havent been catching up to any new updates. My question is, is it worth getting back to it? Are they (developers) approaching the game differently or not? I looked at one champ (Seraphine) and it seems so lame again.. I wish they just focused on making synergies and connections between already existing regions rather than making 10 Runneterran champions with 10 new keywords and all that... I feel like it is so hard to get back to this game and learn all the new things, I cant imagine how new players feel.
