Finally had a chance to hop back in here! So many things to learn and take in when starting a new job. And it’s so fascinating going from a fan to player to staff. Wanted to give this a go again, just a casual conversation. Checking in on everyone, hope you all had a great week!

Ah sorry you’re not enjoying your time currently in the game. Can be frustrating to not be able to play with friends.
It’s all good, I understand some are frustrated or wanting more. All I can assure is that the team is aware, hard at work and reading feedback. I’m also gathering what information I can from the feedback posts left. It is helpful, that is until people just get mean.

I do understand that everything I say will be picked apart and read in a way that the reader prefers.
Let me clarify… I am NOT cherrypicking information. I am gathering ALL the information and organizing it in a way that the devs can read, learn and create a plan. For example, if I read 100 posts and 98 of them are about how players hate pink boots, I’ll be sure to list that at the top and explain how much the community is agreement against pink boots. But I’ll still inform them on the other two posts.
Its takes ALOT of time to go through forums, discord, DMs, emails, etc of feedback. The devs don’t have that kind of time as they are busy, well, doing dev things. Also, they are very aware of the general feel of the community, and they are human too.
Great question! And I know a comment I said earlier about orbs was read in a way that wasn’t my intention. The team is very aware that there are alot of strong feelings when it comes to orbs. I personally don’t know the answers to your questions but I can mention how much the community would prefer better communication on this topic.
LOL, okay, this made me laugh out loud. Like for real, for real. Haha, patience is definitely helpful, along with confidence, empathy, organization, experience and overall just wanting to help.
Well, keep in mind that there are multiple teams that are specilized to different things. With that being said, bug fixes are a huge focus for the entire team currently. They are absolutely continuing to work on fixes.
As I’ve only been an AGS CM for two weeks and well, most of that time was the usual general onboarding videos and meetings… I can tell you that I don’t know what has been said or done in the past. I can also tell you that feedback comes from mutiple different sources so sometimes while it might seem like something on the surface, it is indeed varying in other areas.
I just don’t know. I do know that it is clear that there are many unhappy posts about the orbs here on the forums. And I did make a comment in the past that was understood in a way that I did not mean, which is why I’m trying to be more clear on my statements.
I can tell you that I’m taking this very serious. That I will be gathering information from here on out in a much more organized and concise way. Things are a bit scattered and sometimes problems seem large as it’s few people and many posts or problems buried as it’s many people but one post. I’m hoping we can all work together and work on our communication on both sides.
Okay, I understand and I hear loud and clear. You don’t like the orbs. Many don’t like the orbs. Since it’s not up to me whether orbs stay, change or go, I will do what I can which is bring this information to the devs.
Well, to be fair, it’s the same guy in 5 of those threads that bumped it bringing them all to the top. I respect his dedication to make sure the topic is seen. I will add the topic to my list of questions for the devs to be aware of.
I’m currently not sure. I’ll be sure to bring it up on my list that this is something you’d be interested in for future conversations.

Ah, I appreciate it! Goal is to keep the communication going! While I understand some see this as JUST a fluff post, it really is a chance for me to get to know everyone and for everyone to feel a bit more comfortable chatting. And to hopefully remind both sides that we’re all humans at the end of the day.
My intention was to just honestly say I don’t know the answer to your question but I’d be happy to bring it up with the devs that do? I’m happy to help bridge the gap between community and devs. As for the orb comment… I meant it in more of I do hear of those enjoying the orbs too and the challenge they feel it brings. I’m sorry you felt it lessened or negated the negative comments too. There are definitely strong feelings around this topic and the team is working hard to see what is a great balance for players.
Also, I super appreciate you being polite. I really do, even though this might sound sarcastic? Gosh, sometimes I hate text.

Sorry that you feel communication or any sort of conversation is nonsense. How about we work together and maybe it’s something that is brought up that CM comments don’t show up in the dev tracker?
I’m honestly not sure as they didn’t provide as much detail as people tend to include when they are unhappy with something. I can and will absolutely look into and follow up with those people about the specifics on what they enjoy about it. I understand what you’re thinking, and you may be right. Just gotta collect the information and get to the bottom of it.
Here is the thing… I can’t give you or anyone what they really want from me, atleast not yet. A straight ‘answer’ or solution. What I can do is add it to my list of concerns that are brought up with our dev team during our meetings. Please keep in mind that just because it hasn’t been answered does it mean that is hasn’t been seen or addressed.
Oof, that’s definitely a stressful way to end your day!! Well, I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you that you do get out on time and that your commute is quick and safe. I’m also now west coaster too!! My family is east coast and it sucks when they do things that are a weird time for me. Or I forget to call until night and it’s super late for them lol
This is great information and good to know! The team is really trying to figure out what will help build trust again and if things like this help, I will bring it up to the devs. Maybe something can be figured out where we keep you better updated.
While it’s extremely difficult to understand and collect all of the data about a very passionate opinon, I am clear in the fact that I’m still and will always be gathering information two weeks in or two years in. But neither side is right, or correct or more so of anything. Just that I’ve heard from both sides. That’s all, I’m also not here to lay down ‘judgement’ or make a choice of who is my favorite kid. I’m here for you guys, all of you. To help more clearly convey your thoughts to people who actually have the power to make changes if they so choose. And to remind us all, once again, that were in this together. No one is looking to make anyone’s lives unenjoyable.

I understand. Instead maybe I should bring to them the concern about stating one thing and doing another. Or as I have learned, more clearly explaining certain things. As accessibility to you may mean something completely different to them.
I’m sorry, I just don’t have an answer. Plans do change, even in just a month. Maybe they decided to go another route for whatever reason.
Not having a promise fulfilled is upsetting to anyone, especially those that made it. I’m sure it was never their intention. Things are constantly changing and popping up. Resources, time and work is always being shuffled around to find that constantly rare gem of ‘balance’.

Hahaha Romez, as much as I’d LOVE to tell you that something you suggested mere days ago will yes be implemented into a game as big as New World… I can’t. I don’t have an answer for you buddy. It’s a great idea and it was brought up the team. Now we must let the chips fall where they may.
One can be friendly and informative. I understand the forums have become very focused this past year… very focused on players bringing forth problems and the CM/Mod/Dev team addressing what they can in the most diplomatic way. They are trying with blogs, with the dev video and more. And now… there is me. Hello. I’m both friendly and informative! At this time I’m gathering information and having conversations to gather information for the devs so they can better focus on the concerns you have. Information on the forums should and can go both ways.
Thank you so much! Great that you should bring that up!! Next week I’ll be asking more about the PTR from the player’s side. Thoughts on it, which tools you’d rather have access too, what would encourage more to use it, what if there wasn’t ANY new content and just testing, etc.

It’s definitely okay to understand that there are two sides to all of this. Solutions to previous complaints that bring on more complaints and more solutions that… well… you get the point.

I agree SO MUCH with that, if plans do change, why NOT talk about?! Yes, yes yes! Haha yes, this is exactly what I’m here for and something I’ll bring up and work on. Maybe even alot of this anger and frustration could be lessened, even a little, if there was just some understanding on both sides and more communication on what is being done.
I’m sorry, haha I’m trying to keep up and absolutely not ignoring you. I also don’t have any definite answers for you. I do know the team is working hard on making transfers better so they may be waiting on that for sure. I can ask them about it and add both topics to my list of things they might want to discuss.
I’m not sure? I could ask… or have something done in a similar way. A few devs did hop on the forums for an hour Tuesday and yesterday. It’s hard on them because there is so much anger and negativity but they did their best and tried to answer a few questions. Hopefully we can do it agian next week and answer a few more!
I think the problem here is, and the team knows it, there are ALOT of suggestions and feedback from the community on ALOT of different platforms from ALOT of different people. And some think that once it’s suggested, that someone does hear it and… its brought instantly to the team and it’s the only thing they focus on and work on until completetion. Sadly, that’s not the case. Many times these ideas get missed or are passed onto the wrong person, or it’s buried under a list of more pressing projects and bug fixes OR it’s just decided against completely. I’m 1000% not saying that is the case with this suggestion, not at all, I actually have NO IDEA what the team is doing with the arena suggestion. All I can say personally is I’ll bring it up with the team and we’ll go from there.
I was recently hired, two weeks ago actually, for this purpose. To better create this network of communication directly to the devs and then back to you guys. We’re just getting started 
For sure, I think we all agree and we do all understand. The team understands that the anger starts from a love and a passion of a game that they themselves love. I think it will balance out in time, especially with AGS realizing that they need a bigger team and to increase communication.

As for Waterdrop, I was actually just looking into that brand!! But I read some reviews that they take FOREVER to ship… so I wasn’t sure. But maybe I’ll give them a try!
