[2021] Do full servers open up again?

That being said, the team reviews each server on a daily basis to see if the status can be changed to “high” and I do know there were some previously “full” worlds that were unlocked. I’d recommend keeping an eye out on Server Status | New World to see if the server you’re interested in is available for character creation.

To clarify, “full” does not necessarily mean that the server is full at that dedicated moment; it’s an indication of how many active players there are on that particular server on a daily basis to ensure that players with established characters are granted access over new characters coming in.

The team is actively working on increasing server capacity and the highly anticipated server transfer feature but I hope this information helps in the meantime!
