Hey folks, I appreciate the feedback and the ask for more transparency. We take this feedback to heart and historically it has been something we’ve been very good at.
Our goal is to improve our communication at scale. This means finding ways to reach more people rather than only comments in threads that get lost very quickly.
Since launch our team has been working extremely hard to tackle as many critical issues that emerge as possible. You can see that we’re working around the clock on patches and hotfixes, server resets, down times and maintenance across all the various servers and regions, etc.
This isn’t to say your feedback isn’t correct, I agree we need to improve communication, but it is to explain that because the kitchen is so busy the dining hall is feeling unattended. I hear that and we’re working to get meaningful communication in place.
We want to dig into more dev blogs, more articles touching on hot topics, and more ways for you to talk with the Devs and get answers to the things most important to you.
I do appreciate that everyone is passionate about New World, extremely supportive, and want to help shape the game as we move forward.

We are experiencing issues with Outpost Rush and working to get them resolved. Any issue that exists has a group of people working to get it addressed. We want to successfully resolve an issue with our first deployment but we have encountered issues that require us to work on it further to get it right. I understand that is frustrating to see.

We have different teams working on different problems.
You can read about the Character Transfer situation here: [Notice] Character Persistence Issue after Server Transfer Update

When character transfers started we caught a persistence issue that wasn’t captured when QAing the feature so that must be addressed before continuing with transfers.
That is a very specific answer to a very specific problem, I am not sure I understand why you feel it is generic?

Game development is a very fluid environment at times. Sometimes you are making great strides and a last minute issue prevents progress. Generally, when you share information it is seen as a irreversible promise. We will share updates when it is appropriate.

I hear your request. We will work to improve our communications.

I appreciate the words of support.

We do have a lot of issues we’re working on and there are countless specific things to provide updates on. I completely agree we need to elevate our communications and give deeper updates on the top issues the community wants to know about. I am sincerely working on it.

I don’t have any updates or the ability to help you troubleshoot, sorry. CS is your best path.

100% spot on.

We have a Known Issues Thread and I do not like it.

I don’t think it is helpful enough, it is not kept current enough, and it doesn’t show status progress.

I am on a crusade to get a good tracker in place. And to get more communication in the bugs section that reports coming in are being captured or are already known issues.

Yes, the team is working hard on our top critical issues and as those get fully resolved we will be able to work through many other bugs.

We are currently reviewing that mini map mod and I believe Overwolf probably jumped the gun on communicating an outcome publicly. It is likely they realized it was premature to announce an outcome and removed it.

Roadmaps are tricky, for sure. Game development is a fluid environment and sharing plans and goals can be seen as promises. Some folks react very strongly to change, even if you tell them to expect it.

That decisions has not been made yet, I believe the teams are discussing exactly what data it uses and any future plans for it.
