We jumped in and took a look, do some live testing, and double-checked everything is running as it should! It looks to be functioning correctly. It might be that the UI is a little confusing in this instance.
We’ve worked the 1.25 bonus into the experience you’re seeing, with the 1.25 in the UI as a reminder you’re receiving the bonus. The additional experience you’re getting should be the Monarch’s Bluff 5% buff!
For example, one of the replies in this thread brought up the Starmetal Arrow and mentioning the base XP is 1470.
The base XP for a Starmetal Arrow is 1176 and then becomes 1470 when the 25% XP buff is applied. The UI seems to indicate that a 1.25 multiplier will be applied to the XP value of 1470, where that value already has the multiplier in effect.
I’ve forwarded feedback to the UI team to see if we can approve messaging in the future!
