[2022] Fresh Start - Sharing Updated Information

Since the updates/conversation is moving so quickly, I will be updating this thread with the most current information from the team.

We are currently working on a solution for those who are unable to create new characters.

If you’re hitting a black screen on creation, please refrain from leaving it or tabbing out. The queue will pop up and your character will be available.

If you did leave queue, refresh your character list to see if that character is then available for log-in.

If you get a connection error, unknown file error, you’ll need to revalidate steam files.

The team is currently working on the character limit, as soon as we get word, we’ll let you all know.

UPDATE! Character creation limits have been adjusted! You may try again now to make a character when you otherwise could not. Please do not spam create as there are still limits.

Which server please?

Servers that are locked will remain locked for the time being, this is due to the extremely high queues. It is a very delicate balance to achieve, we understand everyone wants to play with friends while also not wanting to wait hours to join. We have adjusted player creation limits to allow those to remake characters on an open server.

You should be able to create another character now.

The entire team is monitoring multiple situations and reacting quickly. We are working hard to make sure the servers roll out in a stable manner and tackling any problems that pop up. We understand you’re frustrated with the queues and eager to join in on the fun. Please keep in mind that we are continuing to open servers and have adjusted the character creation process to allow quick jumps. At the same time we want to ensure that the worlds are lively and full.

We appreciate your kindness and patience as we all tackle this new adventure together!

The queues are there to also slow down the flow of players onto a server to prevent server crash. There are also only two spawn points so players will enter when others leave the beach.

Its already adjusted.
