the gear restoration process is under way. Please see this thread for more information:

Our team has started the process of restoring gear to players who were affected by a bug that resulted in some players losing equipped items. There will be no downtime required however, impacted characters will be temporarily locked out of their account while this work is completed.

Once completed:

• Impacted players will be able to log back in.
• Bags you had equipped will be in your inventory.

The bug causing crafted items to have a lower gear score should be addressed after the update at 5am PT this morning:

Additionally, during this downtime we’ll also address the issue causing territory lifestyle buffs to not apply to characters, including all crafting and combat buffs.

No updates on compensation yet, we’ll pass on anything we hear on that topic as well.

Some foods that provide buffs are currently disabled. Be sure to check out that announcement ...

Hemos descubierto un problema por el cual los potenciadores de territorio se pueden aplicar dos veces, lo que resulta en una puntuación de equipo mayor de lo debido en objetos fabricados.

La mejor forma, y la más segura, de mitigar este problema, con un impacto mínimo en los jugadores, es desactivar todas las clases de viandas con los siguientes potenciadores:

• Armero
• Joyero
• Ingeniero
• Arcanista
• Fabricante de armaduras

We have discovered an issue where territory buffs could be applied twice and result in higher than intended gearscores on crafted items.

The best and safest way to mitigate the issue right now, with minimal negative player impact, is to disable all tiers of foods with the following buffs:

• Weaponsmith
• Jewelcrafter
• Engineer
• Arcanist
• Armorer

In the meantime, the team is actively working on a fix. Once we have an update, we will share it here.

Los jugadores afectados verán un aumento en la cantidad de marcas de fotuna en la tienda. Quizá sea necesario reiniciar sesión para ver los cambios.

We have granted all affected players the Marks of Fortune promised in the previous message.

Affected users should see an increase in their Marks of Fortune count in the Store. You may need to relog in order to see them.

The team is still actively working on the patch that will return the missing equipped items to players and we will follow-up here once that has been released.

Ah so you’re asking about compensation? I don’t have any updates on that at this time. Fenne’s reply is the most recent response we have.

Sorry, I don’t quite understand what type of information you’re looking for. Since the issue was resolved in last night’s patch, can you elaborate?

Thanks for the report! The team is aware and I’ve forwarded this thread over to them as well.

So here are the things I can think of if you aren’t seeing the Steam Overlay pop-up but you’re seeing the “Transaction in Progress” screen.

1. You have the Steam Overlay disabled both in-game and Steam
2. You have the Steam Overlay disabled either in-game OR Steam

If that’s the case, you’ll need to have enabled both in-game and Steam. You can find the instructions to enable them here: Steam Support :: Steam Community Overlay

3. You have multiple monitors and maybe the Steam Overlay appeared there?
4. You are running Admin on Steam but not New World (or vice versa). In that case, you’ll need to run both with Admin enabled or disabled but they need to be run the same w...
