56s through the desert quest line aware of
58s the the desert pantheon and a mascot and
60s yes she's taken over this tomb and
62s corrupted all the creatures within and
65s someone needs to go sort out
70s beneath cursed sands we learned that
72s amasska is on the path to true godhood
74s she has captured the four lesser deities
76s of the caribbean desert and is now
78s hoping to claim their power as her own
80s using two mysterious weapons found deep
83s within the tombs

96s massacre is to complete the quest

100s access the tombs of the mask
103s they go through a pyramid so there's a
105s few ways you can access it it's just
107s south of the necropolis there's a
109s pyramid you can't miss it it's massive
111s generally speaking it's easier in a
112s larger group although we have accounted
114s for solo players and there are some
117s small affordances for them
119s this place will be your tomb
123s so for two zero mascot we've tried to do
124s something a little bit different james's
126s eric scales from 100 on his dynamic room

131s system that makes it extremely punishing
133s and zooms our mask has got something a
134s little bit in the middle accessibility
136s was a big concern for us for teams of
137s mascot we wanted as many people to be
139s able to enjoy this content as possible

143s to make the content too easy to achieve
145s that the invocation system was kind of
146s the golden bullet silver bullet
149s the invocation system in tombstone
151s massacre is our new customizable
152s difficulty system so this is going to
154s range from be able to increase the stats
155s of all the monsters in the raid to
157s adding brand new mechanics as well
158s scaling up existing mechanics to new
160s proportions each invocation will
162s basically add a raid level onto the
164s party so you can go from zero raid level
166s which is like no invocations all the way
168s to max invocations which is the massive
171s for every point of raid level it's going
172s to increase your loot potential at the
174s end of the raid this is going to affect
175s general loot as well as your chance to
177s get the big tickets items so you really
179s want to put as many invocations on as
181s possible as long as you can still
182s complete the raid think now how have you
186s been truly tested
191s in terms of mascot we've finally been
192s able to get players in to actually give
194s us some much needed internal play
195s testing it's been a long time because of
197s covert but now we've had two separate
199s places that have given us valuable
200s feedback to making the raid as good as
202s possible over the past few days we've
204s been testing raids three that's playing
206s all four of the demi bosses and the
208s final boss over the last few days
210s there's been a lot of deaths
212s especially for me
214s it probably is the most accessible raid
216s by far my favorite thing is how
218s customizable it is so it's accessible to
221s entry players and then sweats like me at
223s the end of the game you can turn on a
224s bunch of invocations and it really
226s switches up the raid every single time
228s the refinements and the way that we give
230s feedback is much more centered on the
232s idea of how to make this interesting in
234s the long run and not just like for two
236s days or three days of gameplay it's
237s really good to get some fresh eyes on
239s the raid because obviously we're seeing
241s it day in day out elevating those boss
243s battles based on their feedback it just
245s wouldn't have been possible without them
246s so yeah really pleased with what they
248s said and really pleased with
255s uh cool yeah so the first four bosses
256s very interesting stuff each of the first
258s four challenges within the tombs of a
260s massacre is themed around one of the
262s four lesser deities of a caribbean
264s desert rather than it being linear you
266s have four different directions you can
268s go in you do have to do all four to
270s reach the end of a raid but your choice
272s will matter in which one you choose
274s first before taking on kefri the
276s guardian of scaverus you'll have to walk
278s scabrous path this is the big
281s big bug that sits at the top a a giant
284s ball of dung why is there so much dung
286s in this brain
288s well i mean we got scarab beetles
290s they're quite uh
291s it's anonymous with poo we've also got
293s monkeys they kind of like to throw that
294s sort of stuff around so yeah
296s unfortunately we have ended up with
297s quite a poopy dungeon
303s baba is the guardian of atmankin and in
306s keeping with atmankin's alignment of
308s companionship baba comes with a huge
310s family of baboons
312s to reach baba herself you'll first have
313s to fight through these baboons but be
315s careful because there's going to be some
317s interesting dangers along the way
319s the guardian of crondis is zebac and in
322s keeping with crondis alignment you'll
324s need to use your resourcefulness to
325s overcome some deadly traps before
327s reaching him akka is the guardian of het
333s that's it that's all we got
335s pett is the god of strength and to
337s overcome his guardian akka you'll need
339s to turn his own strengths against him

359s play with they look great the design
360s team's done a great job the shadow of
361s tomaken is a brand new two-handed mage
363s weapon it features an incredible
365s powerful ability of tripling your magic
367s accuracy and tripling your magic
368s strength bonus it really slaps
370s especially in raise three it hits like a
372s truck it's just incredible this is a new
374s self-powered staff

379s it's just good it's good it's powerful
381s you want it the word of allah dennis is
383s our new mage off hand this features in a
385s stat that we've all been craving for a
386s long time now mage strength bonus
388s another set of rewards are the kerous
390s jewels these can be attached to the
392s keras partisan that was rewarded from
393s beneath cursed sans making it even more
395s powerful in various ways i'm quite
397s excited to see how players figure out
399s different matters with the uh keras the
401s missouri armor set is our brand new
402s ranged armor set it features a new stat
404s we've not had on ranged armor before
406s range strength bonus armadale's been
408s best in slot since what 2014 and we're
410s finally getting better ranged armor this
412s armor is pretty good already when you
414s get it but you can also upgrade it with
416s armadill armor to make it even more
418s powerful there's plenty of other amazing
420s rewards on offer as well including a new
422s ring that helps with your special
424s attacks an expansion to your room pouch
426s and of course most importantly a new pet
429s the weapons of my ascension are already
432s mine to possess
435s when it comes to the tunes of the mascot
436s we've kept the final boss under wraps
438s and for good reason the final boss
440s battle in terms of massacre is going to
442s be insane compared to zverzek and there
444s are blood and ol in james's eric it is
447s generally next level the art is
448s outstanding the animations for it are
451s all new it's doing some things that
452s we've never done before with a boss in
454s old school runescape tell me are you and
457s your companions truly the difference in
460s this fight
462s my favorite part of working on tunes and
463s mascot was probably when after months of
465s development and prototyping as soon as
468s art gets involved and starts to bring
469s the boss to life and it all starts to
471s feel like an actual encounter that key
473s moment was just so exciting starting
475s from my gray box all the way to like now
478s fully finished models animations sound
480s effects all that sort of stuff has
482s really been awesome to see the tombs of
484s a mascot is one of if not the most
486s ambitious piece of content we've ever
487s created i'd say the hype is definitely
489s justified
490s it's gonna be it's gonna be decent in it
493s it's gonna be okay this is our most
495s customizable raid yet with a thrilling
497s new narrative and of course some
499s exciting new rewards the ranging in
501s difficulty means everyone can get
503s involved i just can't wait for everyone
504s to see it massacre is our best ever
506s update narratively mechanically and
509s artistically if you don't get to
510s experience it you're going to be missing
