Just tested the ursine chainmace special attack with my buddy. Our findings are:
The special attack deactivates run, and prohibits the defender from running for 7-8 ticks on a successful hit. That means that run is turned off if it was on and cannot be toggled back on via the orb until around 7-8 ticks after the attack lands.
If you simply hold control to toggle between run and walk, you can run straight away.
