I remember back in the glory days of Runescape in both F2P and membership we would have the option to Right Click the Run Toggle and rest, and you would sit down on the road and start regaining run energy quicker. This would be beneficial for all players so we can re-add bards to OSRS and sit alongside other players to listen to some jams while going about our questing and herb runs. I think re-adding rest could only be beneficial and help out both F2P and Member players since F2P can now finish some quests quicker and not have to worry about maxing out Magic for TPs when it's quite expensive for them, while member players might not benefit as much as F2P but now maybe some players won't always use POH/Clan Wars for run energy restore.
What rest was in Runescape (taken from runescape wiki):
Rest is a feature which allows the player to regenerate lost energy at a greater pace by laying on the ground. It was released on 9 June 2009.[1]
Players can right-click the run button next to the minimap and select "Rest" from the menu. By default, resting players sit down in a relaxed stance; alternating between two possible sitting positions (three for female characters). While in this stance energy and life points will regenerate far quicker. At level 1 Agility, run energy will regenerate at 2.8 points per second when resting as opposed to 0.44 points per second when not. Life points are also regained much faster. Exactly 1% per 6 seconds (rounded up) in addition to the normal rate of 0.1% life points per 6 seconds. Unfortunately, resting doesn't benefit from the Rapid Heal prayer, more life points every 6 seconds.
- Each level of Agility will reduce the time needed to regenerate energy up to 100% for 1 second. So for every 10 levels of agility, the player's reggae is 10 seconds faster. (A player with 70 agility will recharge his energy in just 1 minute and 47 seconds. Compare with an Agility Player 90, he will regenerate in just 1 minute and 27 seconds).
