Apparently you can put text on link posts now!

We've made a few small blog tweaks, popped some seriously sick concept art in for the newly-renamed Oathplate Armour, and opened the poll.

As always, you can vote in-game at any Poll Booth or by using the Polls section of the Community tab on your UI, poll closes on Monday, March 24th.

Apologies for the blog updates coming in so hot, we'd have liked to give more of a heads-up but I had some unexpected illness interfere with our perfectly-laid plans...

Hope you're as excited for Yama as we are, see you at the polls!

How long until accept aid on irons then?

Think this is less abuseable than the older iteration since it's limited exclusively to group-focused encounters as-is. We're already allowing Irons to effectively 'benefit' from Raiding/killing Nex/etc. with other players anyway, do you reckon the Soulflame Horn still crosses a line in the sand?

Could you clarify which type of farming the demonic digger from the delve boss will work on? Imo it should only be allotments because you physically dig them with a spade unlike things like herb patches/seaweed you pick them, ty

Will leave that for the team working on that project in their next blog update, it's not something I've been focusing on!

petition to make it oathbreaker since we are taking pacts from a demon then killing them thus breaking the pact? :) also dnd fitting with the medival esque armour.

Absolutely open to further name changes if players get behind it, of all the things that would get us panicked while polling, this is pretty far down the list - so that bodes well!

Ngl that Oathplate armour design isn't it for me. Looks more like a weird Dragon armour orn kit than a bis armour

Totally fair, I thought it might be a little split for people. Personally a fan of the more medieval approach and tapping into some of that nostalgia with it kind of looking like 'remember Dragon armour? this is him now'

I actually liked the original name, was there a lot of pushback? Oathplate helm doesnt sound as cool as something like Torva helm IMO

Think a lot of folks just felt like 'Soul' was a little uninspired, so the team sought something they felt fit the concept a little more!

Just as a note before too many comments come in and I get drowned: the team are still open to feedback on the concept and naming, so absolutely feel empowered to share your thoughts and let us know where you're at!

Here's my take on the upgraded comsetic variant. I feel the current cosmetic variant looks like a downgrade color wise.

You spun this up crazy quick, nice work! Different strokes, personally more of a fan of the muted Inquisitor-esque palette than more heavy red/black but can for sure see people vibing with this

Any chance oathplate armour might have a plateskirt variant? Maybe a once per day right click change option to not affect drop rates and avoid bugs from someone spamming it repeatedly.

I kind of miss this option with how crystal armour MUST be a skirt, torva must be legs and all that. I feel it'd be cool if we could return to the original "you have a choice" approach.

Will be raising this with the team because you're right that a lot of armour for a long time has been 'this is how the bottoms look' and it could be neat to double down on a more 'old school' vibe with a leg/skirt variant. Not able to make any promises, but can assure you that the team will chat about it!

agree that it's less abuseable and more appropriate (idk if there's a better word) since you're already not standing alone in those areas.

crossing a line in the sand, idk. Personally it doesn't make sense to say you can benefit from a different horn but they still can't venge you. Similar to the "boss pets" getting 200m skilling bonus, I don't like it, I don't think it makes sense but if you're going to do it to one of them apply it to the rest of them.

If the goal is so irons aren't disadvantaged in a team, I don't think this does enough to bring them up to a main raid team party. on the other hand Is something better than nothing? maybe.

In fairness, if we do get to write a sort of 'custom exceptions' list for the Horn, we could in theory roll it out to stuff like Veng Other in those same scenarios - would warrant some more thought around whether any 'weirdness' might ensue but I think in principle it sounds sensible.
