I'm not an expert at detecting bots, but even i can clearly tell puro puro is infested with bots... It's extremely annoying as a 3cb skiller to force spawn dragon imps just for bots coming to catch it.

Jagex has the tools to find all the bots associated with a single individual, so how hard can it be to hop few worlds at puro puro and collect few names to clean puro puro at daily basis?

I don't know how is it possible for bots to go undetected by detection system, but clearly they do as some have 30m+ magic xp just from snaring the imps.

Is puro puro bots so hard to detect because they hop around? Is it because nobody bothers reporting bots anymore? I just recently went trough my ignore list of bots i had reported in a month and roughly 5% of the names were banned...

It is absurd that we need players like sirpugger to explain in great detail some bot farms before jagex takes action.

I'm curious, is report system ranked? That there is amount of reports ranking them? So you won't even bother checking the ones who received 1 report?

Is there a clan dedicated to report bots? As a group we go around gielinor and report bots if that would help jagex to take action against them?

I'm not saying that jagex is not doing their work at banning bots, i'm 100% sure they ban insane amount of bots at daily basis so the stats look good on paper... But what kind of bots are these that they ban? Because clearly it's not the kind that is able to bot for months to gain insane amount of xp.

How can i be sure they are bots? If multiple accounts repeat same pattern and not a single one has unique name, all are generic names offered by account creation "cowslayer3622".

There's also this weird thought that because the bot detection team doesn't share any reports or methods they are not doing anything.

They obviously keep their cards closed because they are already fighting an impossible battle. Any information given to us goes right to the botters as well and makes the challenge even harder.

Thank you.

I have historically provided some insight into the number of accounts we ban when I'm not too busy.

449,528 accounts were banned (permanently for macroing) in the last 30 days, for example.

Can you look into RSN: joelser

It was hijacked/banned, and I have been trying to recover it for almost 5 months now without ever a direct response. I was inactive for about a year and when all of my friends got back into OSRS, that's when I tried to login and noticed my email had been compromised, 2FA removed, email changed, etc. I understand my account's security is my ownership and fault. But I'm still trying.

I would very much appreciate some sort of confirmed "Doesnt matter you were hacked, you are permanently banned" so I can finally give this a rest. I've already created a new account, but it's just not the same feeling as my original account from 15+ years ago...

Thanks in advance if you do look at it.

There isn't a ban on that account, it was removed a while ago by the looks of things.
