[2023] If I link my pre-2010 main to a Jagex account, can I still login with a username vs. email?

Question in title, basically I like the convenience of logging in with my old username and the fact that nobody knows my old username meaning the account is basically unhackable. Does linking accounts to a Jagex account mean you can only login with an email?
