Would digging up herbs lose the seed? Honestly if I plant the wrong seed in the wrong place I would not wait 20 minutes to replant it, I would just wait and do another herb run anyway... Maybe that's useful to others?

Spice racks are a great idea. Makes spice gathering seem like a one time grind instead of every time you need a boost....

I also like that you're addressing vanilla client issues now. Seems like a step in the right direction. Any word on future plans there besides this poll?

Glad you like em! I would expect the seed to be lost in this scenario.

it would be 100% pointless if you have to wait for 20 minutes

also how can someone plant wrong seeds?

The alternative is to remove the XP given from planting the seed and allow them to be dug up immediately.

Something of a "why not" sort of thing. We've had some players asking for these - probably for fashionscape reasons.

Holy SHIT these would be unbelievablely convenient for UIM - not even QoL these are just straight massive buffs!

Spice rack in the POH combined with stat pool would make +5 boosting trivial whereas it used to take upwards of 30 minutes with good RNG.

Weiss tele in the portal nexus would permanently free up an inventory space during the farming/herblore grind.

Fenkenstrain's Castle tele would also free up a permanent inventory space during farming/herblore (no ectophial), and Harmony Island tele would be yet another massive buff to end-game herblore.

Barrows tele in the portal nexus would mean no more camping barrows on the arceuus spellbook, not only saving time making tele tabs but also saving around 30 seconds per run getting home from spawn point or fairy ring (~5 hours total saved over the course of 500 chests).

And just thinking of all the times I had to drop half my inventory each patch on a herb run... the herb sack update would be a godsend.

Honestly on the fence voting wise though - on the one hand I obviously want to make things easier for myself, but on the other hand I started this game mode because I wanted it to be challenging... Stuff like the herb sack update dissolves many of the quirky challenges inherent in the game mode, and I'm not sure if making things easier is worth it when I'm aware of how much easier things are. If that makes any sense, hah.

In any event thanks for taking so much community feedback into these poll questions!

I don't know if nostalgia is the primary emotion players normally feel towards MTA...so I don't agree about it being iconic. We could consider a mid-way change like you're describing, but it wouldn't be in time for this round of changes.

Why does graceful need a buff? The set effect already isn't as useful as most people seem to think.

Penance gloves, boots of lightness, and spottier cape all still had niche use in being better straight weight reduction than graceful, but with individual graceful pieces offering 'partial set bonus' it makes their niche even smaller.

It's not a buff to the overall set since the total effect is still 30% faster run energy regeneration. Players have requested this one mostly because grinding to 60 something Agility before seeing any benefit doesn't seem right. It would also allow for a change from seeing graceful clones everywhere!

Edit: the individual pieces still give a sizeable weight reduction as players have rightly pointed out

Splashing freezes in a solo also has a significantly higher impact than in groups and these changes won't help because no one takes that kind of mage bonus into solo tob.

I'll make a note and see about scaling for team size. Do you have some suggested figures?

Otherwise we're just going to have everything be a brown interface, which is extremely boring. It doesn't even help in this instance, as who is ever going to be buying multiples of the rewards from this shop? (Nobody goes there to buy thousands of runes)

Fair enough! If enough people agree with you, the change won't go through.

Hi Gambit, thanks for polling the prayer reordering again given it was a near-miss.

If I can throw in my 2 cents, having prayer reordering is super valuable as a PKer who does both pure/main bridding as I can keep muscle memory for my range/mage consistent across PKing. I really hope this passes (for selfish reasons). I feel like if this poll fails, it detriments the PKers who don't use dubious clients because their competitors still will - the team have acknowledged that plugins such as these are virtually undetectable atm.

Also for what it's worth, it's already on the unacceptable plugins list. That's why there was a recently increased demand for it.

It seemed right to repoll given the the extremely close margin last time plus the recent demand for the reasons you describe. If it fails again, I could see it being one of the things revisited when we have a renewed approach to polling PvP content since this affects PvP more than PvM.

@/u/JagexGambit - Would it be possible to implement ranked choice or approval voting for future A/B/C polls? The current approach, which is first-past-the-post, has the potential to lead to some poor outcomes.

The dragonstone armour poll, for example, suffers from the spoiler effect. Even if 66% of the playerbase wanted the design to be changed, it could still fail if the vote was split 34/33/33.

This was brought up during the Elves polls, which had the same problem but ultimately didn't make a difference because of the overwhelming demand for a different elf design.

We've played with the idea of alternate voting systems including the ones you mention. Internal discussion about the polling system generally is still ongoing so no change just yet. For the Dragonstone armour poll, that one will simply be decided by whichever gets the most votes rather than having to get 75% on any of the options. That'd be insanely unlikely.

In lieu of an alternate stat boosting method (we don't have any designs or plans for one), you would vote against making the existing one nicer to use?

I have to say, as great as everything here is, I think you guys misunderstood the bank section. I think people wanted to equip and eat directly from their bank as opposed to in the inventory. This might be an engine limitation, in that case, so be it.

HOWEVER, as proposed, it might make normal banking more inconvenient if you were to change the current order of the right click interface. Players have their muscle memory set to deposit-x or deposit-all quickly, you don't want to mess with that.

I suggest either adding the new commands to the very bottom of the interface, OR add a checkbox somewhere, anywhere, that allows you to disable these options.

Thanks

That's an engine limitation, unfortunately. In place of that, this is the best we have for the time being. We can make the option toggleable so as not to be in the way for those that don't want it.

And as for your integrity changes slow down on those or go for game mechanic and lore consistency over loud mercher and mob streamer agendas. Hotfixes to new content obviously excepted with the lack of game testing that goes on before updates, as much as people would have loved to keep those twisted bow spawns.

Shouldn't be too hard to run overlapping polls so there's always a chance or at least a couple weeks to make your voice heard though IDK if there'd be engine issues there since it submits a form. IE: Run poll 1 for 2-4 weeks and begin poll 2 halfway in, then begin poll 3 at the end of the period when you pull poll 1 then continue on giving each poll the same amount of time. Ideally this gives extra time and information on how you (jamflex) should adjust and continue with (or when to stop) new updates and with each revolution give us (the players) a more solid grip on the whole picture instead of a panel of the puzzle-box at a time.

Though this would give multi-acc whales and bot farms more time to abuse the system it would give the polls a better chance to reach the filthy casuals who have those weird things called Lives in that shitty zone called IRL. Maybe slap an IP limit on votes the same way you slap an IP limit on vanilla clients open at a time because of non-existent advertising reasons.

Though people would probably find a work around for that I'm just pitching my 2 cents that ain't worth the copper it's printed on.

Hey Zomby, thanks for your two cents on this. Sadly we can't run two or more polls simultaneously due to limitations of the polling system. We always do our best to keep polls open as long as possible (aiming for 5 days like this one will be). Though usually the results from day 1 and day 2 rarely change by day 5.
We also aim to make sure they run over a weekend so that players who don't get on much during the week also have a chance to vote.

Hope this helps!

The 250 firelighters would be consumed each time. They change the colour of the pet rather than unlock an alternate form.
