My system was impacted pretty badly by the crash on startup. Almost every time right at the end of the PCF intro video.
This has 100% worked for me. Launch the game and immediately change focus to a different app. Hit the win key or alt tab or w/e. But get to a diff app. Once Outriders has gotten passed the PCF intro to the nvidia splash, you can click into the game and it should be fine.
External link →This seems interesting as you all try to nail this down. May be worth passing to the team. If this does prevent it that would indicate an error in rendering some of that starting stuff.

Follow up: err... this genuinely seems to be the most solid workaround for the crashes we're seeing on our side with the current patch testing.
