To clarify, if you are already on a platform and then sign into a new platform under the same BattleNet account, you will access the items from that BattleNet on the new platform.

What you won’t be able to do is link a totally separate BattleNet account to another BattleNet account even if each account is on a different platform.

Yes, you should be prompted on PC as long as you already linked your PlayStation account. You can link online at account.battle.net/connections

I will put in as much time as I have available. That being said, I will need to pull away here soon.

You should be good to go then.

Do the same, Tfast, just verify your accounts at account.battle.net/connections

Thanks CowboyWife,

Go to account.battle.net/connections and see if your PlayStation account is linked to the correct BattleNet account.

Make sure it is downloaded and accessible in your console account and the skin should appear in your finalized BattleNet account once the merge is complete.

To clarify, you can get all of your items from Overwatch in each of your platforms that you have collected up to this point into a unified BattleNet account which you can access in all platforms, once Overwatch 2 launches.

So if you have Pink Mercy on PS4, Oni Genji on PC, and Brick Bastion on Xbox and you merge all three platforms, you will access all three of those skins across all platforms for that BattleNet account.

You should be good to go for your Switch platform.

You will get all of your Overwatch items from all platforms you have merged in a single BattleNet account ready to go on all platforms, but only when Overwatch 2 launches. Not before.

Yep, head to account.battle.net/connections to review your existing linked console accounts.

Yep, we are asking you to set up your accounts to be merged now so that when Overwatch 2 launches you will get all of your items on a single unified BattleNet account then.

Yeah this is going to come up unless you can merge all three console platforms. If you don’t have all three, ignore that prompt on PC.

To clarify, account merging is for all accounts currently in Overwatch before the launch of Overwatch 2. If you start a new account when Overwatch 2 launches, it can’t merge to any preexisting Overwatch console accounts.

This type of account abuse is going to be limited at best. The ability to account merge will only apply for current Overwatch accounts and new accounts starting in Overwatch 2, won’t be able to merge.

This is a type of credit, so your total number of Competitive Points will be summed across all merged accounts.

Hmm… is this in the PlayStation console interface? If so, reach out to PlayStation support for help.

We will have more details on that in an upcoming blog.

No. If you want to play between now and the launch of Overwatch 2, you need a valid license of Overwatch like getting the Watchpoint Pack.

With the launch of cross-progression, players can merge multiple Overwatch accounts to carry progression and in-game cosmetics into Overwatch 2 on a single profile. Starting August 16, every player with a linked console account will be prompted at login to identify, select, and confirm the accounts you want to merge. Once you approve, we will prepare your accounts to be merged during the release of Overwatch 2.

All players will need a battle.net account to play Overwatch 2 regardless of platform. Progress from linked console accounts will be stored on your battle.net account, which will share in-game cosmetics and progress across the linked accounts.

There will be one opportunity to merge console accounts, so make sure you double-check which accounts you are merging before you confirm!

We’ve anticipated some of your questions, and we’re here to provide answers on the upcoming account merge in Overwatch 2.
