Within 24 hours unless something critical delays it.
The patch released was for Windows and it said Mac version coming soon. Will the Mac version also be released today or will we need to wait 4 or so days like last time?

It may help a lot, devs need a person who ran into this issue for testing.
Just confused. 2 months later, and after publishing an update that says it's fixed. It's just not fixed. Still black screen. nothing works. I don't get it? Why claim it is fixed when it is clearly not? many people in other threads confirmed it is still not fixed.
Hello! This is a hardware-specific issue, where it works on some Macs and doesn't on others :( With each fix we're getting closer to fixing it for everyone, but we aren't there yet still. It's complicated by the fact that our normal debugging tools don't help us in this case. Very considerable resources are invested into this problem, with numerous hardware units being bought to the studio for testing, but sadly complete solution of the problem still eludes us. For now can only express hope that the team manages to nail it down soon :( I know how frustrating it must be at this point.

Need to know if they are actively fixing the bug or abandoned the project because some of the macs got working?thanks
Of course it's actively worked on. Last patch brought an experimental fix that solved some of the crashes in multiple locations. Black insides of Commander's tent are still in progress.
5 months later and 3 "patches" that claim it was fixed and it still just NOT fixed. I don't understand why you would claim its fixed over and over, make us download 20 gig updates. and it's not fixed. please u/OwlcatStarrok let us know what is going on? Why are you guys releasing fun new DLC when your kickstarter backers cant even play the game?

The issue with Macs is that so often it works absolutely fine on all our test devices and problems only pop up when they're tested by the community :( And so often the problematic saves sent to us are simply not showing any misbehaviour at all on our machinery, so it's literally walking in the darkness trying test solutions in attempt to fix the elusive bug.
It's extremely frustrating and annoying for the dev team as much as it is for you guys. We're doing all we can there and really sorry about that :(
