[2023] Why does the game not offer merged spellcasting for all of the paths?

Angel and Lich are widely considered the two most powerful paths, due to their merged spellbooks. Would the other paths have been way too overpowered if they also allowed merged spellbooks? Maybe Trickster would, but that class usually attracts martial characters anyway. Curious why they wouldn't have offered this on all paths.

There was never an intention to make all mythic paths equal. Each of them should give an epic feel and must be able to complete the game, but that's it.
