Patch notes for v4.1.2.0047
Resolved Issues
  • The Combat Start is no longer visible before starting combat in certain situations.
  • Terrified party members who cannot move will now pass their turn correctly.
  • Casts interrupted by "Mage Slayer" are now correctly removed from the turn queue in turn-based mode.
  • In deck-to-deck combat, loot can no longer be lost if there is too much.
  • Characters are now able to jump between ships' decks during combats in turn-based mode.
  • Characters automatically finish reloading when their turn starts.
  • The combat speed slider will now update correctly when using the hotkeys to change it.
  • The Combat Start autopause event will now trigger properly when combat starts with a cutscene (e.g. deck-to-deck combat).
  • Vela's level now matches the player's level in Hylea's Challenge, granting h...

Today is a glorious day in the Deadfire! 4.1.0 is now live and so is Turn-Based Mode which is completely free for all editions of the game!

Ahoy all you magnificent Watchers!

Below are the Patch notes for the v3.1.1 Update. Thank you so much for your feedback and reports of these issues! And thank you to the Beta branch testers in making sure this patch was stable and ready for everyone to enjoy!
 
Patch Notes for 3.1.1.0024  
  • Fixed characters with certain dual-weapon loadouts not using their off-hand attack.
  • Weapons will no longer disappear after the user levels up the equipped character.
  • Essence Interrupter bow will no longer prevent Hauani O Whe from dividing.
  • Users who installed certain localization mods and do not own Seeker, Slayer, Survivor can load their savegames again.
  • The Valian term Sérre now has the proper accent and a tooltip explaining its usage in dialogue.
  • Aloth will not mention Animancers if player has yet to encounter them on The Painted Masks quest.

Patch 3.0.1 is now live!

Patch notes for v3.0.1.0026
  • Saves now work as expected when attempting to create a save file.
  • Izzia's conversation will no longer trap the user in a dialog window.
  • Music no longer overlaps during day and night cycles.
  • Fixed an issue where only 5 of the 10 Galawain Challenge buffs were being used for each playthrough.
  • Flames of Devotion no longer gets stuck in an infinite animation loop.
  • Text is now bolded in not-Latin languages
  • All ships can now be used when starting "Seeker, Slayer, Survivor."
  • Fur of Frost passive no longer gets reapplied when removed with a Fire ability.
  • Dance with Death Quest now correctly references the Ghost Ship during dialog

  • Shroud of the Phantasm - A new community-designed cape, the Shroud of the Phantasm seems to grant the wielder the favor of Wael, though the will of the God of Secrets is all but impossible to discern for certain. We are releasing a small patch today. Below is a list of changes we wanted to get out to you before the 2.1.0 patch in a few weeks.
 
Patch Notes v2.0.1.0044
  • Floating text will no longer remain on the screen out of combat.
  • Eder will now properly bark during The Messenger interactions.
  • Scene transitions in the Pyramid of Woedica will no longer be hidden in fog.
  • Retrained party members will no longer gain Knock Down, Constant Recovery, Battle Axe Proficiency, or Mace Proficiency when they should not.
  • Party members will no longer disappear near the portal in Sunken Crown.
  • Party members stay together when using the portal in Sunken Crown when it's flooded.
  • The autosave feature works as intended after jumping into the pit in the Beast of Winter DLC and allows for progression.
