External link →So, officially, it's outcroppings. Vengir land, as does the Square as a whole, has surface or near-surface ores that can be used. Of course, the amount of materials is still very limited, and that's why they can't use the metals for widespread tools, luxuries, and etc, but only for swords. Mines help dig into mountains for larger amounts of ores, which in turn allows for a surplus and thus, consumer goods (raising population).
