There is no set "length" of a turn. That's on purpose.

Officially, it's "the time necessary to do stuff," just like how stars are "the resources necessary to do stuff."

Hi. Bought skins for two tribes on the TestFlight app. Now switched back to the regular version and these skins are beging pay walls again. Can I fix that or do I have to buy them again? TIA

Purchases on Testlight are actually free! And they're on a 'separate account" of sorts.

Kinda hard to explain in a short text, but essentially, "your purchases" on Tesflight and your purchases on live are different, and don't carry over. Thankfully, all Testflight purchases are free, so you haven't lost any money.

Once you know the strategy against them it's way more normal, still confusing unless you do tho. I think they're meant to reward you for double the price (p2w vibes) and they do a great job at it.

The double price is just to help us recoup the time and money spent making them, which takes a while.

Nothing about being p2w

Balancing reasons. Removing a bit of the RNG from the game I suppose. Less RNG = More Strategy

Officially, it was to let the tribes keep their tech identity for longer.

The fact that there's less RNG was more of an unintended side effect. :P

Yeah, I'll take this to chat and see if we can get them back

I don't think that may work -- Bardur keeps coming out on top economically so there is something off (emergent property?). And weakening the tree tech line would just weaken other tribes (Elves/Archers)

Everyone seems to think that every potential change is some sort of "one time thing". We can just....adjust other parts of the tech tree to compensate.

Fantastic work!

This is going into my private collection. :)

The biggest issue here is putting Imperius anywhere but Lawful. They are literally the most Lawful of any tribe, like, to logical extremes

Totally get it. I definitely made my share of knight herds back in the day, lol. And you can't really just blanket nerf forestry again (like when chopping gave back 2 stars), as it's important for so many other tribes, too. Either way, I'll keep playing. Makes it that much sweeter beating some super high Elo player
I can tell only uses Bardur. You guys rock!

Well, I can tell you that "blanket nerfing Forestry" again isn't off the table.

We're trying to make the other tech branches interesting and unique in their own rights. In a perfect world, every tribe won't need Forestry to compete

Ah, got it. Guess I'm out of not-so-brilliant ideas....Seems to me Bardur has been fairly consistently the best tribe throughout the game's life cycle. Definitely times when one tribe or another needed a nerf (Lux/Cym jump to mind), but I think I've seen numerous various nerfs/tweaks to Bardur in one way or another. At least you can't clear cut your forests and have knights on T3 anymore, lol.

It ultimately boils down to "Midjiwan made stuff he thought was cool and the fans found ways to exploit it", as it's not like he thought Bardur was OP (or that they were designed that way).

Trees are powerful as both chopping and huts are powerful, and we've only realized this late in the game, honestly.

I'm sure! Tough to balance, I imagine, without totally breaking them. Maybe if they had a weaker giant than other tribes or something...I'm sure you guys have better ideas than I can come up with!

"All Regulars must have the same things" is a rule, so no custom-tailoring units for Bardur

If I had any gold, I'd give you some for this comment...lol. It would be nice for all the high level games to have some tribes that aren't Bardur in them. They're the only tribe that can basically access the entirety of the tech tree with almost no impact to their economy. Boats, swords, knights, catapults, archers...whatever you want, you'll have it, with a heaping helping of a million giants on the side.

Don't worry, we're aware. :/

Ha, well, as someone who's been playing the game since it came out, I've seen all the twists and turns, and I keep coming back for more! I don't think I'd still be playing ~7 years later if creativity wasn't a big driver for you guys. Best mobile game out there. Damn fine job you folks are doing!

In short, *nerf Bardur* and we'll figure out the issues later ;)

Don't worry, we've been talking about Bardur recently.
