A LOT of the time I find myself unable to find a squad for a mission.
I normally think nothing of it at first, until I realize that cross-play is turned off.
Since I bought this game, I turned it on when I first ran the game, or made sure it was enabled.
Only because queueing for PC-only matches is near impossible, and takes ages.

Cross play has since randomly turned itself off when:

  • Getting out of a mission, my squad (of 3 players, 2 PC, 1 PlayStation) randomly has a chance to disband and cross-play will turn off for every PC player involved. This has happened once so far, and seems to be very rare but it's happened, nonetheless.
  • Starting up the game, sometimes it will be enabled and a majority of the other times it will just be randomly disabled.
  • Randomly, getting out of matches or switching between menus will rarely disable cross-play.

I was unable to re-create the issue as it seems to just happen randomly. Though, frequently.
Me and my other friends on PC have experienced this multiple times while playing.
This also seems to occur randomly with other settings, such as voice record switching from "disabled" back to "push to talk" on its own.
Or the UI color options not saving and reverting to their original settings. Upon changing, they just break and display incorrect colors.
This has happened multiple times as well.

I have the twitch/amazon prime game-loot bundle.
I have the deluxe edition of the game.

Unsure if it will really help, as it seems to be a game-code related bug, but my PC specs are:

  • OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 19042) (19041.vb_release.191206-1406)
  • RAM: 32768MB RAM
  • CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (16 CPUs), ~2.9GHz
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060

Thank you for making Extraction, and thank you for your time.
I hope this helps pinpoint (and subsequently fix) an issue that frustrates a lot of people.

Hey @pupkade , thanks for this report, and thanks also to @dawnjc79 for adding your report too.

I can see our teams are aware of this issue, and are investigating. A report from another player suggests that it's just the menu which says crossplay is disabled, but crossplay is then correctly shown as switched on once you are in matchmaking. Can you both double-check that for me on your end? I'll be able to add this to our ongoing investigation.

Let me know if I can clarify this request at all!
