[2022] Mouse snapping to center of screen

I recently reinstalled siege on pc, hoping to play with some friends. whenever i try to hover over any interactable buttons on the ubisoft connect overlay (when i try to invite someone to my game for example), my mouse snaps to the center of the screen. when i attempt to go back to the game, i cant click on anything. I'm not sure what the issue is, so I'm hoping someone here will be able to help me out
