[2022] "eu-central-1" data-center not playable.

When DataCenterHint (in "GameSettings.ini" file) is set to default (ping based), while in the main menu, game tells me that I am connected to "eu-central-1" (ping ~90ms). However after connecting to a match, it;s visible that game chose a different data-center, usually "japan-east" or "east-asia" (ping ~140ms) in my case.
It's worth noting that "eu-central-1" is not available for manual selection in the "GameSettings.ini" file.
So my question is: how to connect to play matches on eu-central-1 data-center and can it process matches or does it just hold account data?
