So Ubisoft have just announced that next generation upgrades will be available from Dec 1st but will this also apply to people playing via gamepass?

Hey Raas-al-Ghul! Yes, since the Game Pass can still be used on the new Xbox consoles then you should be able to upgrade/transition with no problem.
