I recently got another copy of R6 but it wasn't a Steam copy, it was a Uplay copy.

My main R6 account is a steam copy, but is linked to Uplay. So I figured I could just have both versions as Uplay installations. But now I'm back on my main account and when I try to launch the game, it just makes me install it and directs me to steam.

So I'm wondering if there is a way to make Uplay realize I already have the game installed. I think Uplay does realize I have it installed however because when I go to installations, R6 is there, but is just greyed out.

So the question is... do I need to have 2 copies on R6 on my computer? Or can I just direct Uplay to the copy of R6 I already have installed?

Hey there! Even though you already have the game installed through Steam, it would still need to be separately installed through Uplay. This is because they are two separate clients and different files are required to be installed through each one in order for the game to operate correctly. If your separate copy of Siege is owned through Uplay, have you tried signing out of Steam to see if that stops you from being redirected as you explained?
