(This is a solution to a problem. I couldn't find this solution anywhere else, so I'm posting it to help others.)

With the end of the Containment event, I was wanting to buy the packs. However, I continuously received the message "Something went wrong, please try again in a few seconds" and received emails about a potential fraudulent action whenever it was definitely me. It took until the final 10 minutes of the event for it to finally be resolved thanks to a wonderful Ubisoft support member. If this problem is occurring and all other fixes aren't working, try purchasing r6 Credits through the Ubisoft store in your browser. They immediately went through and within seconds, I could finally rest easy. A very simple solution that for some reason, I didn't think of and couldn't find elsewhere.
