Hello, I bought this game 2 years ago and I tried launching the game again recently and it popped up on the uplay launcher that there was a problem authenticating the ownership of the game, after searching google and uplay support site it took me here and told me to contact customer support, providing you guys with proof of purchase and ownership of the game.

I have attached a screenshot of proof of purchase on steam, however when i go to locate the ownership file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache\ownership. I have record of purchase of this game ples send help sadface.

Hey there.

This error you're seeing is because you're launching the game whilst signed in to this Ubisoft account where the game hasn't been activated.

Are you aware of any other Ubisoft accounts you own? If so I would recommend signing in on those and trying again. When you're on the correct account you will no longer see this error.

If you're not sure of any other accounts you have if you can send through a screenshot from the following folders on a support case please, do not post those here to the forum. By default they will be found at the paths below, you might have one or sometimes both of these folders:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache\user_profile
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache\ownership
