While unranked/ranked have a feature where if defense wins a round on a site, they can't play it again on the next round, it seems the developers decided it was okay to bypass this rule for casual and it's not that fun in practice.

Since the map pool of casual is not as balanced as the ranked one, it will already create some awkward moments with the disadvantaged side that will have to deal with it but with this new round rotation, it will either put a losing team on another potential bad position or a winning defense team on the same site it won before, pushing it to adopt the same strategy. It's just not that fun and will push potentially more 2 - 0 or 0 - 2 scores.

When House will hit the casual map pool it will be an even bigger mess. Whoever in offices decided that defending 1f living room twice was a good idea doesn't have the best interests of the game in mind.

Thank you for sharing Kai! I do agree that it would be ideal to make the system not have the defender team defend the same site twice in a row, especially with the chance that team could have a strat to steamroll the attacking team. I'll pass this along.

People were complaining about joining ongoing matches already, and this feature doesn't make it better at all.
We do know that joining ongoing matches is definitely a disliked feature within the community, and can understand how the changes to the system do impact this experience. I've made note of this as well. Thank you for reaching out!

More 0-2s than ever...

Put it back to alternating single round for the love of god! I've been playing this game since release and I don't play ranked... You're ruining casual for us.
As UbiMorning mentioned, We'll be making the devs aware of the community's feedback to the Casual/Quick Match changes that went live this week. Thank you so much for reaching out and sharing how you personally feel about the changes! If you have any additional thoughts or suggestions please don't hesitate to share.

Because there are some maps where it's just easier for the defenders. And some maps where it's easier for the attackers. Being forced to be the attackers for TWO rounds in a row, in a map where the deck is stacked in favor of the defenders, is essentially giving two round wins to the defending team at the very start of the match. They clobber the attackers, so they only have to win ONE more match to win the game. It's extremely unfair. AA/DD rotation in casual has to go. As quickly as possible.
Can you provide examples of what specific maps you think are heavily defender sided? I can understand the pushback about this change is being amplified by maps like this.

As I understand, 'Unranked' is just 'ranked', only it doesn't count your numbers towards any kind of ranking system, right? It's AA/DD only, playing only Defuse Bomb, and with only the maps that the 'pro' players like. Well isn't that exactly what 'Quick Play' is now? It's like you have 'Unranked' in the MP menu twice, just using different names. The only difference seems to be that you allow other game types like 'Hostage' - where the Ranked style setup is a total disaster.
Lump all those ranked style game types into one main "Ranked Style" button. And please, just restore "Casual" to the MP menu as it's own choice again.
Unranked has the AA/DD rotation, Bomb only, Pick and Ban, and Ranked map pool, if I remember correctly.
Quick Match has the AA/DD rotation, all modes, and a different map pool from Ranked/Unranked.
I do understand that Unranked feels pointless, and have brought this up with the team as well.
Focusing on specifically Unranked, I know it has not been a super popular mode. My understanding is it is because of the fact that there are no Ranked points, so it feels like there is no incentive to play that mode over actual Ranked except if you have friends outside of the 1k MMR gap.

And so Terrorist Hunt strips out Bombers and Nitro cells
This was due to the fact you don't encounter Bombers and C4 rooms in the actual game, and because of the fact that THunt is being used mostly as a mode for warming up. We are well aware that it is a dearly-missed feature for sure.

And so Casual mode goes AA/BB not because "players" wanted it that way, but because the Pros wanted it that way.
I believe this change was done to make each mode more consistent, but we are still monitoring the response from the community regarding this change.

And so map reworks become boxy, weird, Pro-League oriented boredom slabs
Which maps do you feel this way about? I've never really heard them being described as boxy. The reworks are designed to make it easier to navigate the map as well as implement balancing changes for attacking and defending strategies.

And so weapons, operators, and gadgets all get redone to cater to the Pro's opinions about balance ... even if it craps all over what Casual players want.
Can you provide an example of what changes impacted this? I don't really understand what change this would be referencing.

Again, it is not about who suggested the feedback, it is about what the feedback is. It may feel like it is specifically for pro-players due to them having a larger platform available than the rest of the community, but changes are not made solely because of that. I would like to mention that threads from the forums are a huge source for my reports to the team when referencing specific discussions or suggestions. I respect your opinion and do understand why it may feel that way for you.

Weird suggestion, make it so people have to play 3 full matches of unranked before going to ranked, simply because i think the gap between newcomer to ranked is pretty big, so i think that creating a better buffer zone of unranked really being the place of learning to play ranked will work a bit better, in my own case it's that i don't like the ranked ruleset so even unranked it's not fun for me, since all issues present on ranked are also tehre, such as troll and leavers, so if have to deal with 2v5 that if i leave i will get a penalty i certainly won't play it
Interesting! I think this could cause Unranked to be used more and introduce players to the idea of Ranked without worrying about MMR. I'll make note of this as well.

All of them... they all have a stronger side. Defending bombs on split level on Favela for two rounds in a row is super fun for example... Do you even track players leaving the game on a specific map? People mass leave when it's Favela, so we're just waiting for 5 minutes watching people leave and join non-stop, same goes for Sky Favela (Tower).

No one asked for that change and most people were happy with the normal casual, because... it's casual. I don't think most people want competitive rules in casual. Do what you want in unranked and ranked, but for the love of god... bring normal casual back and leave it alone. You're also constantly removing maps from the casual rotation... why can't we have them all? I don't care if you consider Barlett unbalanced... just look at Favela. Bombs shouldn't even be on this map, not split levels at least.
Thanks for sharing your input. I have no further updates to share on Quick Match at this time but am continuing to document threads with comments about the Quick Match changes. At this point, it seems most players have adapted to the AA-DD rotation. The main problem with Quick Match seems to be what maps are allowed in the rotation pool, or just the general fact a rotation system exists. The main point of the system was to provide a way to keep Quick Match feeling fresh with the rotating maps, but some people feel it is not getting this effect due to how often the rotation happens. The rotation system also helps us keep maps up to date and look into maps that may need rebalancing. We will continue to make note of suggestions for maps and the map rotation system overall.

I have yet to hear a SINGLE justification for this change

What’s the point??
I believe the reason for it was to make it more in-line with Ranked. It was briefly mentioned on the Shifting Tides notes.

Also, why are House and Plane not back in the rotation???
I do not have info on why they are not in rotation at this time, but I did make note of the overwhelming comments regarding wanting both back in rotation at the very least.

Are you going to pretend that this is not an issue because there isn't anyone spamming in the forums everyday about it so it's not longer a problem?
To be honest, It's quite toxic to imply this argument when nobody in the community had a choice or none of their feedback had an impact so far on this game-mode.
I can adapt many things. AA-DD rotation, night time removal, seasonal map pools... But it doesn't change anything, I still think all above was unnecessary and many posts on forum just prove that.
I didn't mean to upset anyone with how I worded my sentence. I was trying to say that I haven't seen as many comments about the AA-DD change as I have about the Map Rotation System. I am fully aware of the negative sentiment around the AA-DD change and have made note of it to the team previously. I was trying to say the Map Rotation System seem to be disliked more than the AA-DD change.
