What kind of headphones do you use while playing? The 3-speed Operators make quite a bit of noise while crouch walking and you should be able to hear them enough to know which direction they're coming from. Also, which platform do you play on?

@ Squattangent0 A video would be useful when reporting an issue like this. It could be related to the audio bug issues.
